The part where you see Kermit walking down the street with his kid on his back always cracks me up. Seeing Muppets walk is hilarious 100% of the time.

The only problem I have with that movie is the part where Scrooge's lost love sings midway through. It grinds the movie to a halt.

It's so great and what makes it is that Michael Caine plays it straight the whole time. There's no winking at the audience, he interacts with all of the Muppets as if they were real people. There's nothing comic in his Scrooge. Of all of the versions of a Christmas Carol, Caine plays the best Scrooge.

Funny you brought this up, our section at work is making this movie our theme for our Christmas party. Definitely underrated.

I always wondered why it's never on. What a clown show - everyone should have the opportunity to view this treasure of a movie.

You'd think they could work it out. I mean Warner Brothers and Hanna Barbera let Disney use characters for Roger Rabbit....and come to think of it, its never been rereleased

He’s good, but not the best. That title belongs to either George C. Scott or Alastair Sim.

I was in 2nd grade when this movie came out, our class went to the theater to see it. I loved it as a child and still enjoy it as an adult.
