You thought they was going to kill their only two black super heroes in one season? LOL

In perfect irony, they literally brought back one guy from the grave and the other (may be brought back) to ensure that diversity continues.

For the record, A-Train has plot armor. Noir was useless and obviously a nut. Hopefully stays dead.

He also said the didn't want a murderer in his house. I just think if he had to choose between Bluehawk going free or his brother murdering him in his name, he'd rather Bluehawk go free.

I had a bigger problem with the overused trope of the handicap person falling out of their chair and yelling that they don't need any help.

A Train murdered way before then. Don’t know if his brother knew that or not but still

Season ended up kind of sucking. Hope they wrap this show up in the next season.

It was a significant step down from the first two seasons. I found myself quite bored most of the time.

Before he killed him, HL claimed to be able to see through Noir’s mask. He said he could see his scars and facial expressions

so finished up season this weekend.

i thought it was really strong all the way up to the finale.

then wtf.

-They shite on noirs character. from season one building him up as a mysterious entity to this season spelling everything out and killing him with no thought. (noir comic character 100x better)

A-train- cmon, how is THIS character still alive at this point. he sucks, and not even in a fun way.

The team has homelander down for the count but all of a sudden everyone turns becasue "oh no the kid!". they have constantly been saying homelander goes no matter what. I can understand Billy, but everyone else? Which leads to the next point.

Maeve all of a sudden decides to be heroic and "sacrifices" herself for everyone? Her character would have 100% taken homelander with her.

Soldier boy went from not being able to take on homelander by himself to taking on an entire team included homelander in the span of 2 episodes?

The starlight scene where she was kinda super amped up was interesting, i was expecting something. What did we get, she released everything she had amd pushed soldier boy down for a second.

just a real head scratcher of an episode.
ugh.

Early on he also liked to look through the wall spying on his lover/mother figure that used to have Ashley’s position. Was her name Sprewell?

He never fought the entire team plus HL. At first it was Butcher, him, and Mavae against HL. Then it was him vs Butcher and the rest of The Boys. HL was fighting in the other room.

That was intentional. Often times in superhero stuff, some character gets a power boost and goes ham. Here even with her power boost it showed she was no where near his power level

Overall the fight scene wasn’t as good as the Herogasm one

Right. It would have been a letdown if starlight could be a threat to SB. She just can’t be on HL or SB level. The storyline can’t have that.

I'm so disappointed in Black Noir

And come to think of it, why are we supposed to feel more bad for him than others? He’s almost as loyal to Vought as Homelander and never did a good deed on screen. Yes he received several gruesome injuries, had the shite bullied out of him, and had a ton of trauma, but his attempt at redemption was simply to kill a monster by aligning with another monster. If he had succeeded, I see nothing to suggest that he wouldn’t have gone back to towing the company line. Perhaps the point they were trying to make is that there will always be another monster and that Noir’s loyalty to what’s creating the monsters/abusers is misguided and tragic.

The whole cartoon characters angle was fascinating but it doesn’t really mean that he was a good person deep down. Sure the beaver said how scared and sensitive he was, but that’s also something that a psychopath could come up with.

Don’t get me wrong I loved his backstory. I just didn’t really feel that bad when he died

To mock those types of moments in other comics. That's kind of the entire purpose of this comic/show.

No one else thinks it’s ridiculous that literally nobody died in the mega fight?

The whole fight was a nonsensical disaster. Which really sucks because the Herogasm fight was great.

What about this show isn’t ridiculous tho? Felt like a clear rip on superheroes in general. Hence star light going super saiyan and doing nothing to soldier boy

Gen V actually and it’s already filming. Apparently comes out before season 4. Supposed to be a college themed hunger games twist. Whatever that means.

From the previous page (from flvelo12 and myself):

If no major supes die, kinda defeats the entire premise of series. Stormfront, A-Train, Noir, Maeve and Soldier Boy should be done for good. Let's move on. I thought the season finale was disappointing, especially considering the gravitas and excellence of previous two episodes. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy the hell out of show.

I do agree with that too. There have to be actual stakes at SOME point. If nobody ever dies then it’s kinda like what’s the point?

Why does someone have to die? The show is over the top outrageous the more characters the better. I am sure someone will be die in some brutal over the top fashion next season.

For me personally, I want to watch a show with actual stakes for the characters. It's one thing that makes HBO shows so great...any character can go at any time really, no matter how important they are. If nobody ever dies, there's never really much of a threat to the main characters, so the stakes aren't really very high. It makes for lower quality television. At least for me it does.
