We also got introduced to this rancor that Boba says he's gonna ride.

Yeah, they canonized that whole Witches of Dathomir plot point from the now-relegated to Legends status Courtship of Princess Leia. That's kinda huge, but seems like it's cruising under the radar.

I read every SW novel up to the YV invasion in New Jedi Order.

Has there ever been a group of mechanical modified characters?

I know Luke has the hand and Darth Vader is basically rebuilt..

But I don't recall them adding mechanical super borg eyes

Fennec was found by Boba and he saved her by partially rebuilding her with mechanical parts

ETA: and Darth Maul's legs in Clone Wars

There was also Lando's assistant (not sure what his name was, I think the action figure was called Lobot) that had the partial halo computer on his head and Lando could control him from some remote control type device.

I heard the reference and it reminded me of Clone Wars and Asajj Ventress. I don't know the Legends reference, but I know Filoni likes to bring Legends aspects he likes into canon.

I actually found this episode to be a little better than the first two. I found the first two to be pretty meh. It was hard to put my finger on why, but I think it comes down to the fact that I am not really interested in seeing Boba Fett become the Godfather. Vito Corleone he ain't.

The one part I do find kind of interesting though is watching him build his army/gang. Fennic was on board before the series started, but we've seen him win over the big green guards and the biker gang (admittedly, the execution of the bikers was lacking). Now we have hints or anticipation that he might gain an ally in the Wookie and nice pet/weapon in the rancor.

I never read the comics, but apparently Black Krrsantan is from the SW comics and he worked for Jabba with Boba. So I’d bet on him showing back up and helping Boba fight the Pikes

Boba Fett let him go when he could have killed him. Isn't that supposed to mean that the Wookie owes him a "life debt"? I thought that was a huge deal to that species.

From what I read about Black Wookie..
He doesn't really care about what other Wookies do.. turned on his own people type thing.

Caught up on this today. It's very...ok? Not awful, not great. No idea what they are trying to do. The power rangers on bikes was weak.

Just seems like oh here's an idea annnd it's gone. On to the next one annnd it's gone. It's all over the place.

Obi Wan said Darth Vader is "more machine now than man" in A New Hope.

General Grievous from the the prequel trilogy was a humanoid at one point but by the time we meet him in the movies he's almost all machine.

This thought crossed my mind. If Krrsantan crosses paths with Fett again, BF might bring it up.

I'm willing to bet the bad arse Tusken Warriorette survived the ambush on the tribe.

They didn't show her body, like they did for the chief, so I think that's a safe bet.

ETA: I felt like after the investment of time in the Tuskens of the first two episodes, the payoff of the burned out encampment was lacking. I didn't necessarily see it coming (probably should have), but it also didn't seem to have as much gravity as I thought it would. And I, like some others in this thread, was feeling bad for the Tuskens that died on the train.

I also think that little kid Tusken survived. If he/she did die, then what the hell was the point of showing the bond between him and Fett?

What was the point of John Wick's Beagle? Daisy's death was an important plot point.

Boba was closest to the kid and the female warrior. If their deaths were meant to be the major impact of that scene, they would've shown it. Instead, they are left out.

I may be way off, but the fact that the Pykes wear masks makes me think the kid will come back with them.

I wasn't arguing they are dead, I don't think they are. I was pointing out there are legitimate reasons for people to make close bonds in TV and movies just to have them severed early on to drive the plot, especially revenge/rage arcs.

I guess Wookies do rip people’s arms from their sockets when they lose.

The new episode is really good, a lot of backstory.

Mando’s theme at the end. We getting a crossover?

ETA: I also wonder if this is how Mando gets Slave I. Boba won’t need it anymore since he’s going to be doing kingpin shite from his palace. Mando’s Razor Crest was destroyed and he needs a ship way more than Boba. I imagine that might be Mando’s price instead of all of Boba’s credits

I also wouldn’t be surprised to see a tease of Mando’s new season at the end of this series like they did with Boba at the end of Season 2 of The Mandalorian

much better episode this week.

it never even crossed my mind last week that the vespa gang would have had anything to do with getting shand patched up.

i also liked that it explained a little bit why boba isn't as ruthless as he was prior to meeting up with the tuskans.
