If you had any doubts, yes the Connor death scene is very real
they really do kill him as a kid at the very beginning of the movie.
They somehow found a way to wreck the series harder. Rumor is this is one of the ideas that was actually Cameron's.

I go to a Terminator movie to see Arnold and the Connors
I go to a Rambo movie to see Rambo go into kill mode.
I don't go to a movie in a beloved franchise to watch those characters drug through the mud/killed, and then replaced on a whim by someone I have never seen before and don't care about
Whoever the tard in Hollywood is that started this trend needs to lose their job

Also worth noting that the classic characters from these beloved movies they are flushing away are prominent white males and are replacing them exclusively with non-white and/or non-males.

But honestly, The Terminator was a fantastic movie that produced a very good sequel. Everything else is crap. Even when they were trying to keep riding the same older characters and stories, they always failed.
It's irritating, but still not in the neighborhood of Harper Lee being forced to release a "sequel" to Mockingbird in which Finch turns out to be a super racist. People need to die for that shite.

Young John Conner of T2 might be the best character in the series.
Smart with a good moral compass despite the setbacks. He is also portrayed well by the actor in T2. To shite on that character might earn someone a spot in Hell.

I was planning on catching a matinee on Friday. I’ve changed my mind. After this, and reading the plot synopsis on wiki, I’d rather a sequel to Salvation than this nonsense.

My plan was similar, but I can not forgive this, and they will not be getting my money.
I wish they had kept going with salvation's story if they really wanted to keep pumping out sequels. At least it was the future war finally, albeit not matching the one shown in the first two films but it was different and it didn't take a dump on John Conner

The little girl isn't the mother of the future savior, she IS the future savior.

Shocking, this board hates the movie because it has women as lead character.
I thought it was really good, a lot better than the last two crappy Terminator movies. The action scenes were awesome.

McKenzie Davis was fine in her role and so was Linda. The problem was they completely destroyed the first two as far their importance in the timeline goes not to mention this movie was just a rehash of the first two.
