Yes. Too quickly.

but the show has a way of not showing stuff actually happening and instead showing the fallout
That's fine, but Nate's sudden departure did not make much sense. It felt WAY too abrupt and they didn't really explain why he ultimately decided to leave. He was having success and doing great, then Rupert tries to get him to go out with him and another girl and he quits? Surely there is more to it than that? I can understand other reasons coming into play...not feeling right about how he left Richmond and what he did to Ted...
Maybe they'll cover that in the next episode?

I theyll definitely circle back. Probably with him rejoining richmond in some form or fashion.

It was a big plot point to drop like that.
You kinda felt like the job was eventually going to out Nate in a conflict but you didn’t expect it to happen between episodes.
Also, has Jade always been Polish?

They said it the one episode she met Rupert and I heard a slight accent then but hadn’t noticed it before then

She said Nate could go with her to help her family screw in lightbulbs, lol.

I think that was playing into the el tri stereotype. The mexican national team are a bunch of assholes.

A conventional, formulaic, and oversimplified conception, opinion, or image.
Then that wouldn't be a stereotype (conception, opinion, or image,) it'd be fact, right? A Spurs friend who has been all over multiple stadiums confirmed Mexico City is the trashiest major place to play he's been to. There's been an entire series on Amazon Prime about it, although I'm not calling all the players assholes, but the fans.
Like, if an opposing team is taking a corner near home side fans, cops have to often stand there with umbrellas to shield the corner taker from the batteries being showered on the pitch?

Do you not know what the word “or” means?

Man this show has fallen. Bumping from the third page to talk about this weeks episode that I finally got around to watching. The show is just limping to the end at this point.
I feel like they have a lot of parts to still move around and they are still wasting a ton of time on Keeley to have her stay in the same place with another woman bailing her out. I don't mind all the little woke/political shots in the show because they don't chew up a ton of time on them. They have probably spent 2 episodes worth of time on Keeley to not really drive much.
Nate quitting was a very blunt and quick shift. I thought I missed an episode when this week's started.
I laughed about Danny Rojas changing to game face for the nationals.
I am blown away that they are using a black guy to be the villain for Sam.

I was contemplating on the "truthbomb" episode coming up, and it hit me today it will be Ted landing the truthbomb on Rebecca and telling her he is going back to the US after the season.
Because if you think about it, all the psychic predictions/observances have come true: Jamie saved the team by truly understanding how Total Football had to work and explaining to the team, Lasso and Sam already helped Rebecca understand who she needs to be before her nixing the SuperLeague idea, and she has become the mother of the team and a mother figure as much as friend for Keeley.

Yea I think teds mom shows up and convinces him to go back.
Feel like Jamie’s dad probably shows back up this episode. Not sure what else would have Roy and Keely worried about him.

I really really enjoy them having Trent Crimm in the locker room. He adds a subtlety and intelligence compared to some of the cartoonish stuff.

Why?
They used him before.

Just for the way the rest of the season has been with all the small political incidents as they have gone along, I’m shocked that they would have a black guy come back and keep him off of the Nigerian team. I would have thought it would have been Rupert finding out that Sam sacked Rebecca and wanted to take a shot at her keeping him, and her star player, off his national team.

Jade heading to Poland
From a writing standpoint, I think her leaving was just a plot device of sorts to get her out of the picture for Nate's remaining arc.
He essentially left West Ham for her, and this temporarily frees him from that obligation.
In other words, in his "hero's journey," he's gotten the reward (through reconciliation with a lover), has been freed to take the road back (by recommitting and changing directions), and will presumably eventually return (being reborn or transformed).

I loved their reaction to Roy wearing the tye dye shirt. Not a word was said.
He definitely adds a little extra something to the locker room.
