Really? I'm not sure I've ever seen him in something where he didn't make the show better. He might be the most underrated actor in Hollywood.
Fun series so far. Owen Wilson is basically playing himself (or at least the same guy from Wedding Crashers), but he's got good timing and is always entertaining.
Zero is ok. But she certainly is not a looker at all. Love Mitts

Well shite, that makes me feel better. I thought I remember seeing there were only 9 episodes (and Apple+ only showed 9 this past weekend). So in that case, I thought this episode was really good then.

First few eps were great, then episodes focused too much on Santi/Zero.. last few have been excellent with more from Owen and Marc.
Wouldn’t be surprised if the dad showing up makes Santi play like shite and set up a storyline for season 2

I'm late to the party on Stick, but I like it so far. Except for Santi and Zero, they are mostly unlikeable characters.

The finale was on the weakish side for me
Once dad showed up, anyone that had been watching could have written the script for the finale. Since the show is called Stick, I had hoped it would have focused more on Owens character with Santi, but Wilson was basically sidelined from his own finale

Yeah I guess since they wanted us to hate his dad they got what they wanted. They had to have been sure they were getting a season 2 to end season 1 that way. The singing on the fairway was over the top for sure

I liked what they did with the finale better than the direction it could have gone with him winning. That, along with the final scene,
set up season 2 pretty well.

Haha yeah not a huge deal and I think it'll serve a function as showing him as an instant fan favorite so that he can get another exemption or something

I’m glad it’s renewed for S2, but they really need to find the right footing for the show. The second half of S1 was much better tonally, but still kind of cookie cutter. The first half of S1 was just a whole bunch of word salad.
If they can find the right direction, could turn out to be a good show.
