That show isn't for classic trek fans. It never was.

Alex Kurtzman has been quite clear on his vision for Trek.

Woof. This episode was silly and has me questioning why I watch. These meta type episodes must resonate with someone, but it ain’t me.

I couldn’t even finish the episode, she’s just too much. I don’t know how anyone that’s an actual fan of Star Trek and had the power to green light this show said yes.

Yep, to wear it as a skin suit to promote their cherished 'modern day' agendas.

Season 2 is baked in, I believe. (March 2027) They do this intentionally no matter what to avoid industry embarrassment and mockery by fans who clearly hate it.

It's effectively giving everyone the preemptively.

Trying to get interest by making it about Sisko was pretty pathetic.

So did the klingon guy end up gay? I see several fan sites saying it happened but can't find anything legit.

In the beginning of episode 5 he's walking & wearing woman's clothes. That's as far as I got watching this crap. I'm done.

Seriously? I'm so glad I didn't invest time in this.

Watched today's.
Started off with a sorta long pg13 hetero sex scene. So that was odd for star trek but could be worse.
Thee cadets were in a mission to do something on a derelict ship when a new alien attacks.
Stuff happens people die. . . Better than most of the shows episodes but still not on par with the worst of tng. They tried but too many dumb b plots. Like Paul Giamattis character, why would you try to get him to help? He should be in federation prison.
Idk. I just hope we get a better show one day.

I thought the effeminate Klingon would finally break out into full on warrior-beast mode given the situation but he showed he really is a pussy.

In a pedantic "Techie" critique, the ship they were having class on had an experimental singularity drive that was being tested as an alternative to Dilithium.....Well, the Romulans were powering their ships with a singularity drive at least 1000 years earlier..

They adults finally showed up a little bit and showed a little discipline even though they got played.

For first year cadets, this group of "kids" seems mighty adept at problem solving. It was nice to see the fat cadet having a panic attack seeing the body...a typical reaction you would expect to see from a kid thrown into a desperate situation.

I agree Paul Giamatti is the saving grace for the show. He brings it in every scene.

Yeah they were so amazed by the singularity drive. They have Romulans in star fleet. One would to I by now they would have had access to Romulus tech. The Romulans always used singularity drives. I would have thought they would have been common when dilithum blew up because an Alien cried or something.
