The seeds of Thor's demise as a character were sewn by this hack in Ragnarok.

Ragnorok and Love and Thunder are the best 2 Thor movies.
1. Ragnorok
2. Love and Thunder
3. Thor
4. Dark World
I liked All 4 but that’s the list.

Love and Thunder turned my kids gay though, so I’m not sure where to rank it

1)Ragnarok
2)Thor
3)Dark World
3)Love and Thunder
DW and LAT are bad for opposite reasons. One is dull, over-serious, and colorless.
LAT is the opposite, but WAAAAAAAAAAY too far.

Watched it last night. I was...eh (a step above meh).
Not terrible but certainly not good. Just all over the place with no focus. I imagine they allowed a lot of input and tried different things while making the movie and it just became a mess. I feel stronger about that opinion this morning than I did last night when I found out how many of their actual children were in the movie.
Taika didn't have enough restraint and they probably gave him too long of a leash. This also isn't a passion project of his, so the finer details were ignored.

Yeah the overly emotional triggered faction really went overboard with this movie. It wasn't bad at all.

I too finally watched it last night and thought it was awful. Ragnarok-level awful.
I almost walked out of Ragnarok at the theater in the first few minutes of the film, but powered through because I had paid good money to be there. Others may disagree, but it never improved from that first few minutes. Thor as a comedian just does not work for me.
I would have walked out of L&T in my own media room last night, but my teen daughter wanted to see it.
I knew L&T would be terrible when I heard the first sentence of the Taika Waititi narration.
Wait! Taika Waititi I think we have found a common thread in two awful films.

Still haven't decided if I'm going to watch this or not, but my 15-year old saw it this weekend. I asked her if it was decent or not. She said it was "indecent" (which I thought was a funny use of this word), and that it created a ton of plot holes. I haven't gotten more of an explanation than that yet.

I don't get this sentiment.
Thor has always been a hilarious fish out of water in the MCU.
Very self centered bro-dude with muscles and a heart.
Through the movies he's been a great warrior and always has his friends back. But at the same time will challenge any avenger or friend that he is the most attractive and strongest of the bunch.
And he's not wrong. Dude can best the hulk. But his flaw is always a sweet hubris.
So yeah. He's funny.
Smashing mugs, out commanding Starlord, getting away with calling Rocket a rabbit, getting called out on some of his dumb quips.
Yet.. I agree. This movie went too far. It was fine. But I felt this could have been a great moment for some real darkness in Thor's life.
As someone mentioned..
He's lost a ton. There has to be a decompression point. And gorr should have been 2 movies.

I’ll say that as far as picture quality and the vibrance of the colors, it’s the most beautifully shot pleasing to the eye Marvel movie I have seen.

Got more info. She said the movie tries to be too many things at once, and what should be the primary plot about the villain ends up being a subplot to the love story between Jane and Thor. She found that to be annoying. She also said it created a huge plot hole with Infinity War but I told her not to tell me that part because if I watch it I want to see if I pick up on it too.
I guess they're not really hitting on the 15 year old demographic with this one. She used to be all into the MCU and now I think she's basically done with it. I'm gradually checking out because of the wokeness, she's gradually checking out because she thinks the current phase sucks. Obviously I think the wokeness is at the root of the decline in quality, but I'm sure some folks have other theories.
