That’s the best thing about this, imo.

You had all these people on here that were pissed off after TLJ who have since turned around and slobbered all over Solo.

What will be even funnier to watch is, if Solo is awful, the people who bitch will turn right around for Ep 9 and slobber all over that movie.

No one gives DC that sort of leeway.

After every DC horrendous failure I hope the next movie will be better and I pray they'll right the ship.

After TLJ I hope they never make another Star Wars movie, because, as I said before, comic books have tons of different story lines and alternate universe and character iterations. It's ok. It's extremely hard to ruin a comic book. You can just reboot it with a new take. It happens in movies and comics all the time.

Star Wars doesn't have that. Although I am still holding out hope that Abrams starts Episode IX with a title crawl that simply states "Rey Awakens from a horrible nightmare on the way to find Luke Skywalker" and effectively retcons Episode VIII out of existence.

From Deadline...
quote:

Fandango reports that Solo’s advance tickets sales in their first 24 hours have outstripped Black Panthers.

Solo‘s first 24 hours of sales so far represent one of 2018’s best first day of presales for Fandango, second only to Avengers: Infinity War (which went on sale on Fandango on March 16).

Go find some of the trailer reveal threads for Solo.

They are filled with comments like, “I hated TLJ, but I’m going to pay to see this Day one.”

I hope this turns out to be good, but I don't really care anymore after TLJ. The movies aren't even related and it still killed it for me.

What are the chances Disney just bought all those tickets?

I don't know anyone going to see this movie much less excited about it.

Maybe I'm just getting old. Or too cynical. I don't understand thae appeal of Donald Glover. He looks terrible in the trailers and his SNL was just bad. But eveyone on this board knocks each other over to suck his dick.

And almost every rumor from the set has been terrible.

Did you see him in Hail, Caesar!?

Ehrenreich and Fiennes were the only great things in the film.

That movie made me angry. There were so many great parts of a movie, but an absolute failure of a film as a whole.

I look at Star Wars today like I look at Mike Tyson from 1991 and on.

The product has been greatly devalued but there are still tons of people interested in forking out money to watch.

As bad as Last Jedi and all the problems with Solo, the trailers for Solo do look pretty good.

The summer slot may help this one as well. With all the competition of summer blockbusters, it will just blend in even if it does suck. I'm much more interested in a Solo movie over an Obi Wan Kenobi project.

Very high. What they “saved” by not marketing this all spring they used to inflate presales to save face with the 1 billion dollar Star Wars franchise. Create a false buzz etc. Smart move, but obvious.

I bought 12 tickets to the opening nights of the last 3 SW films. Took friends/family to all 3.

I have zero desire to se Solo in theatres, and am obviously not buying a bunch of tickets
