I have admitted in other threads I thought the casting was stupid for the two roles everyone is mad about. I’m just not going to let someone briefly being in a movie dictate how I feel about the movie as a whole. I can enjoy a movie without letting a character with minimal screen time ruin the whole thing for me. If Damon ends up sucking in it, that’ll be a different story and I’ll bash it.

We can all agree that one of the best directors of all time knows exactly who is perfect to cast in his own movies over random internet people right?

Why does anyone think those videos work for anything? We see them for political ads and they’re always cringe worthy. Whoever marketed this movie should be fired and I mean top to bottom fire everyone in that department.

Yea, man... because that's definitely not one of the greatest, if not the greatest comic book movie of all time even with that casting for the LEAD actress. A 2 minute role casting in The Odyssey definitely is going to automatically hold this back from being a great movie.

Nolan made this movie for industry shills. It's being targeted to cinephiles and theater kids, much like what we got with Wicked, Cats.

Pretty sure his motivation is awards as is everyone he works with. So he has to go diversity. Doesn’t have a choice if he and his crew including all the actors want to praise themselves in 8 months.

She is not a great actress, she can't even play a man as a man that is really a woman playing a man so she can be a man in a movie
