Nah, it's a completely NEW character that does exactly what Achilles did in the book. TOTALLY NOT ACHILLES THOUGH!

Poor thing. I realize it must suck so bad to always be wrong, and to always be proven wrong. I can't say that I understand, because that's never happened to me, but I can imagine.

Remember that time you said Apple+ was going to fail and that Daily Wire was a better streaming service? Boy were you right there!

I've never said Daily Wire was a "better" streaming service than anything else. It needs a lot of work but I want it to succeed. The content they put out is really, really good. There just isn't enough of it. This is what I have consistently said about DW from the very beginning.
Unless they've come a really long way in a very short period of time, Apple+ is not sustainable. It lost $1B last year. I'm not going out on a limb here when I say that's not going to last. As a consumer, the smart move is to simply wait for Apple to stop being okay with those losses and watch all the content when they sell it to other services.

But then think about TPK being so adamant about it this. My take is that whatever TPK says… opposite.

What a very ironic thing to say. Didn't put much thought into this one huh?

No, my whole thing is what sells. I am the epitome of what the general audience wants.
I can understand why you don't want that to be true, but it is.

It's weird that you think people should know what any of these abbreviations mean.

This is the hardest I’ve seen the sock puppets work to take down a movie that people are genuinely excited for.
It’s easy to take down a Pixar offseason flick with a tranny parent… it’s a whole hell if a lot harder to bring down Christopher Nolan’s depiction of the most famous story in literature.
It’s been kind of fun watching them spin their wheels on this

So Ellen Page plays a weakling that is easily manipulated not once, but twice. Doesn't sound like they are trying to pass Page off as some great warrior.

Yes, I really am. Movies I like do well. Marketing movies to appeal to people like me usually leads to a healthy box office take.

No, this is a message board. What you described here is not healthy.

Yes, I really am. Movies I like do well. Movies I don't sometimes do well, but usually don't.

It's not delusion. It's actually exactly why you hate to see me post here. What I want is what general audiences want, and what you want is in conflict with that.
Your capitalist question is odd, because I'm taking the capitalist position that they should make movies that appeal to the general audience and that will make them more money.
They can't throw out woke slop nonstop and hope a huge hype machine makes them money. That isn't sustainable. Sure, The Odyssey is going to make money. If it's as bad as it seems to be based on all currently available evidence, they won't get a mulligan. Think Star Wars and "The Last Jedi." Sure, The Last Jedi did well, but it also killed any hype for Disney Star Wars moving forward. If the Odyssey is as bad as it appears to be, it will have the same effect. Same thing happened with the MCU after Endgame. They had more audience goodwill built up than any movie studio should ever hope for, and now they have thrown it all in the garbage. It isn't because they don't still have interesting characters. It isn't because people are no longer interested in superheroes. It's because they stopped making movies and telling stories that people like me want to see.

No, what I'm saying is what people think about you on a message board is completely irrelevant. I am correct.

Curious response. IJFAFK didn’t say what you thought he said. Maybe if you just look at it from a different angle and use movies which were well-made tend to do better that would make more sense. Hell, Superman and Supergirl both failed at the box office and got sent to VOD in just about 30 days, give or take. That’s not the longevity you were looking for.

You think people I've got to know here - TD only - aren't some of the most good people and friends just because it's a message board - and their is no accountability?

No, I don't think that at all. I know that. People you meet on message boards are irrelevant. There is no reason to couch your opinion in nonsense just so you can have "online friends." Those aren't actually relationships. That doesn't mean there aren't nice people here, but if you're expecting this message board to have any sort of meaning you are looking in the wrong place.
