I don't think that Disney would have made this film if they knew ahead of time it would flop so badly.

Isn't this true of the production studio of every money-losing movie ever made?

Karl Childers and the Seven Short Fellers. Now there's a movie I'd pay to see.

The guy I was responding to was implying that Disney made a movie they knew would flop just because they wanted to spread wokeism. I was saying that's unlikely to be the case. Frankly, Disney is a soulless corporation that has never cared about wokism just for the sake of wokism, and the only reason why Disney has made some woke movies is because Disney incorrectly believes that woke movies are popular.

It’s the same company that also tried to claim that Kristen Stewart was the fairest of them all over Charlize Theron

I am legit surprised it isn't way more than that.

And didn't some woke people actually get pissed off at the movie's portrayal of dwarves? They didn't even end up doing a good job at satisfying woke people.

Multiple reasons, but that was the biggest from what I read.

They took away jobs from real dwarf actors, who haven't been represented all that much aside from Peter Dinklage and Verne Troyer after they were in a good number of movies in the 80s.

The only well known roles for dwarves were Mini-Me and Tyrian Lannister in the past 40 years.

Two takes that makes me wonder if the casting agent was either:

1. Not attracted to women in the slightest
2. A very bitter individual regarding looks

It's got to be way more than that. I feel like the is the opposite as when a movie makes $1B and they say it broke even or lost money.

He decided to pull the ladder up and say that it was offensive to cast dwarves as the seven dwarves.

Imagine being a little person actor with a little bit of clout and hearing Snow White was getting made. Then imagine that little a-hole trying to torpedo all those roles

We'd be throwing little hands.

Wish we could wash our memory of the fact it was even made.

I completely missed that take. Last I heard, he was insulted that they didn’t cast little people and was upset they used CGI, while casting a colored woman to play Snow White.

Peter Dinklage

I saw an interview with Hornswaggle from WWE blasting Dinklage over costing little people jobs. It was pretty good. Not only the 7 lead actors but also stunt doubles and all that. He said Dinklage got famous playing drawf characters and doesn't wanna other famous ones

It was a pile of donkey crap.

I cant imagine her ever getting another huge starring role
I think her career as a lead in big movies is over for the foreseeable future. As others have said she’s a favorite of people like Spielberg, so he might giver her a mercy role. But she’s so incredibly unlikeable that I can’t see a movie with her as the lead getting financing. It’s a shame because she is talented.

It is more than that. It probsbly doesn't account for marketing or the distributors share. Which is close to 50%.
