Gary Oldham is such a great actor so many of his roles he kind of plays it over the top character this is something completely different than

One of the best series going. They film two seasons at a time so they release one every year. A lot of times the season finale will already have a trailer for the next season.

When you’re finished with Slow Horses on Apple TV, there are plenty of other originals that are great.

Last season was season 5. Season 6 comes out soon. And Season 8 just started filming. That’s not a typo. Season 7 is already finished (filming at least…no idea about edity, ect).
Never read the books but have heard they take a lot, including dialogue, straight from them. I’ve been wondering why this isn’t more common. There are tons of book series that are out with multiple stories and proven interesting. Get a small group of writers to take those stories and put most of straight into a screenplay. Let the group handle situations where things need to be changed for tv (scene from book would be too expensive or combining some roles to flow better).
Detective/spy genre works great. Find a series with a bunch of books and turn each book into a 3-6 episode season. Keep them short (don’t add filler to stretch it out) and knock out two seasons at a time and release one every six months. When you run out of books find a new series. Shorter, more frequent seasons keeps audiences engaged and actors free to do more stuff.

I haven't gone back and measured how closely each season tracks, but my knee-jerk is that the tv series is one of the closest adaptations to its source material that I've seen. If you like the books it's almost a guarantee you'll like the series.

I've just discovered it a month ago after someone here suggested. I've brought it up before after I started watching it. It's awesome.
I kinda wish he would at least wash that coat.
I'm finished with 3 seasons. The die has been cast on the formula for each season, I'm kinda hoping it gets mixed up a little. The last episode of S3 made me a bit mad at Lamb the way he went after Standish. I'm sure the writers are doing this on purpose. They show you a bit of a soft side then they show his arse in this last episode.

Nice. Makes me want to rip thru S4 now. I was hoping the formula laid out in the 3 seasons would get mixed up a bit.

It’s the most reliable, consistent, well-made show out there. They come out seemingly like clockwork.
