His contract runs thru 2028. It has some exit clauses in it. If he is not top two in the championship at the summer break this season he can opt out and sign somewhere else for next season. They had a meeting recently where Redbull tried to pay him 8 million euros to remove that clause and he told them no.

Right now George is in second place. He has 78 more points than max so with only two races before the break it is mathematically impossible for Max to be top two.
I don’t think Max can actually opt out of his contract just yet. I think it’s mathematically impossible for him to be top 2 by the summer break but he actually has to wait til the summer break to officially opt out.

Been seeing a lot of talk about Audi. I think Sainz is interested and saw this morning that Piastri would be interested if he does leave McLaren

George better get it together fast. I think he will be in the merc next year but he might not be in F1 after that if he doesn’t improve his form.

Would we even know that Mercedes has built a rocket if Kimi wasn’t in the team?

I do think Oscar is better than Lawson and Hadjar right now if for no other reason than he has experience at the front fighting for championships.

At this point Max doesn’t do many marketing or sponsorship days. I’m sure McLaren would love to put him in their new LMDH hyper car for lemans but are they gonna let him run the GT races? Is he gonna stop drinking redbulls and start pounding monsters?

Looks like the FIA is considering punishing Ferrari because Red Bull can’t figure out their Macarena wing.

That is a disgusting photo. Max belongs at Red Bull. Would Zack Brown really tell Piastri to hit the bricks?
I thought episode 3 was kind of a wasted episode. Other than the boy pretending to be a Targ there wasn’t much there.
Rhaenyra made a bunch of stupid decisions throughout the episode, but most of those decisions shouldn’t be held against her because she told us she had just started her period.
Webber has had some sort of falling out with McLaren. He is not as involved on race weekends as he was in the past. I don’t think it affected his relationship with Piastri.

I thought the Buxton tweet was what started it all. Everyone was talking about how he tweeted the same thing right before Lewis to Ferrari broke.
It’s 9 PM in the UK right now, prolly won’t be any breaking news from them today.
Looks like the big story was about Scott Dixon leaving chip ganassi racing and moving to the arrow McLaren Indy car team. I thought that news came out last week but looks like it is official now.
Yeh that’s a weird one. Surely someone on the Williams pit wall knew that he had not been lapped. I guess the lead car could pass you while you are in the pit lane, but honestly I would expect the driver to know if he had been lapped.

A lot of F1 media members and reporters are hinting at some big news dropping, possibly today.

Does silly season start today with a max Verstappen bombshell report?
They said on the post race show Lewis was not getting a penalty.
Yeh he was angry. He was angry when he got in the car today. He wanted a new engine, was open with the media yesterday about wanting a new engine, and they decided not to change it.
George trying to complain on the mic that the car wasn’t fast enough. Toto shut that down quick.

Terrible ending for a marquee event but a good win for Charles.
Max is just trolling George for the love of the game.
Now we get to see if he will be a team player and help Charles get this win.
They said excessive wheel spin, especially when he went into second gear.

Lewis with a false start?
I saw where Ollie said the car was hard to drive because it had three pedals. Weird to think about F1 drivers that arnt used to driving manual transmissions.
