How dare you question his favorite show and the way it's moving?!? You will take the way they do it and like it, dammit!!

Exactly!

Nah, I’ll try not to be so gruff.

The thing is I don't want 5 seasons of this show.

With the way TV works these days, it'll be 2038 before we get 5 seasons of this show aired

This is my least interesting story line, so I hope they spice it up.

Mark/Helly - obvious centerpiece

Burt/Irv - There is a lot to peel back here, as they both have some secret past.

Milchick/Huang - Tillman is probably the best actor so far through 1.5 seasons and Huang is an interesting story of what is she.

Ms. Casey - Real or 3D printed

Dylan/Gretchen - The story line seems too generic and overused for a show with interesting new angles.

Agree, there are few shows that do well with filler episodes. It is hard to top the trilogy formula.

I loved this show when it launched.

One of my favorites out there.

But this season is starting to drag for me.

We need to start getting movement soon on the Casey storyline.

My gut is that will be the cliffhanger.

You are going to have an unsevered Mark, with Helly R, and they are going to find Ms. Casey. Mark is going to be looking at his living wife, whom he thought dead. Helly R is going to feel some raw emotions seeing the man she may love now, lost in Gemma.

I usually hate it when they put the gay in a show, which is almost always. But this one is so weird, crazy, and creepy, it hasn’t put me off as much.

He knows that she would have known the name wasnt hannah. Thats what did it. Easy going convo before that which didnt make sense. 100% it was the hannah bombshell
Wait, she called Gemma "Hannah"? I totally missed that.

Here is a very intelligent and crazy weird show, this is the 3-gay dinner scene - enjoy!

Which Burt ends with an explicit invitation to Irv that they get together without Fields. Wild, wild stuff...

I dunno, man. We're watching an outie's wife fall in love with his innie.

This raises all sorts of metaphysical and philosophical questions, not the least of which are (1) do they consummate and (2) does she accept a segmented relationship with his innie as the cost of staying with his outie? I doubt the series will answer them all, but it's very interesting to me.

Tactical use of homosexual elements, the way it used to be. Movies and shows used to add that to create a sense of uneasiness, because it was not the normal environment.

Now it is just a check box of inclusivity. I am going with Apple did it, to check a box. I agree though the "weird, crazy, and creepy" makes it digestible, also adding their choice of actors as well add to it.

While that is true, it is just the stereotypical usage of dangling a carrot to get your horse to do what you want. They may get to the deep metaphysical and philosophical questions, but right now they just using it weaken a strong character from season 1.

Dylan was "bad arse" in the first season, to now be pussy whipped in season 2.

Yes I think the whole thing is a Truman Show type scenario.

I’ve thought that since the first episode when all the people at the dinner party were surprised that WWI was called the Great War before WWII happened. How could a bunch of adults not know that? They were genuinely surprised.

Yeah, it was pretty clear that their pretension was much more advanced than their intellect.

Mark having to explain the concept that WWII didn't happen yet was quite funny to me.
