Saw "Top Gun" Sunday

I haven't been to a movie in a cinema in over 10 years and the wife talked me into going with her to see "Top Gun".
She got the tickets on-line and only had to show the picture off her phone to get in and I got the concessions....I had just eaten so I didn't want anything and she wanted the #1, which was the large bucket of popcorn and a drink that had to be close to 30 oz.============It was ONLY $17.85 DAMN
I don't know if it's me getting older or what, but the volume of the speakers in the place was almost painful. They were so loud you could have heard a mouse fart in the movie background.
That made for some crazy decibel levels during the fighter jet scenes.
Overall good flick with typical "American does it again" ending.

Lol. I had a similar experience. I turned to my wife at the beginning and said, “They need to turn the volume down!!!!!” It’s been prob 15 years since I was in a theatre.

AMC has a $5 cameo deal with a NORMAL sized drink and popcorn. I would classify them as medium at most places in America.

Im usually thinking they dont have it turned up loud enough. I go to a theater for that experience

You can't do that man!

Laboratory analysis showed that a large serving of popcorn--contains 130 grams of fat.
"If you order a large popcorn and a large (44 oz) Coke," CSPI nutritionist Jayne Hurley says, you've consumed about 2,500-3,000 calories--" That's three day's worth, about the same as six Big Macs," she said.

Do you tell the neighbor’s kids to get off your lawn?

Just write a 'kick me' sign and tape it on your back next time before you post. This thread is pure comedy gold.

ya i think mostly its age, as kids there was no such thing as too loud.
last time i went to a movie we sat up front and i was near deaf for like an hour after we left. if i ever go back im sitting in the last row in the back and bringing ear plugs just to be on the safe side

You’re supposed to wear headphones. Didn’t you read the sign before going in?

Then you old fricks need to get out. The sound quality was one of the best parts and has to be the frontrunner for films released this year. frick off complaining about the sound quality in this film since it was amazing.

When I went watch maverick I was shocked at the age of people in front of me. All retired military over 70. They clapped at the end. You must be pushing 100.

took my wife to it (watched it with my dad first) and she walked out saying it was one of the best movies she's seen. She also disliked Tom Cruise but I think his little 'thank you for coming, we made this for you :))))' preflight speech won her over.
Great movie.
Great movie.

You should stick to TV. Make sure it’s network or else it won’t work
