I have it on in the background as I write this. I'm hardly paying attention and I know everything that's going on.

This has been a very good show. I turned it on expecting to watch 1-2 episodes; I binged and forced myself to cut off after 5.

Like others have said, it's not played like the trailers. This isn't ultra-deep and thoughtful, but it's a lot deeper than I expected, and he does it well.

The first paragraph is a near perfect summation of Reacher from the books.

I recently got into the Reacher series a few months ago. Have read the first 12 books. Reacher does the Sherlock Holmes deduction with Finley. He knows Finley did something to end up in small town Georgia from a big city like Boston.

Reacher does this as well in other books. He was an investigator and anticipated moves of the suspects he is chasing. He has theories built up.

As far as the series, I enjoyed the pacing and the acting. Nothing feels over the top. He has a good feel for Reacher. I think I read somewhere that he read all the books in 8 months to get into mindset of Reacher. I’m on episode 3 and like it.

Finished it this afternoon. I enjoyed it a lot despite the dialog being somewhat wooden and the humor being not quite Reacher's humor.

I've enjoyed the TV show. It's a fun, brutal action based mystery that can easily crank out 5+ seasons.

Thad Castle is a better actor than I expected.

I fricking love this show. Love the books. Having said that I haven’t read this thread as we are only in episode 5. Excellent!

I hope Sandman is this good.

Alan Richer isn’t a terrible actor, as long as they keep him grounded and believable in the intellectual side of the character.
I've watched a few episodes and this is the problem so far. Reacher is supposed to be a master investigator, highly intelligent and insightful with powers of observation that border on Holmesian. This actor can't really convey that. He comes across as a meat head. Maybe he'll grow into the role and it will get better, but so far, he's not convincing.

Cast Tom cruise, people complain he's not 6'3 240. Cast someone 6'3 240, people complain he's not Sheldon Cooper.

I really enjoyed this show. I do have one question that you Army vets can answer for me.

In an episode 8 flashback he is in full dress uniform but is not clean shaved. Isn't that a no-no?

Just watched the first episode definitely not cheesy like I thought it would be. It’s been good enough to keep my attention. Dudes a bad arse though the prison scene was pretty good.

Yeah it's not as cheesy as I thought so far.

It's like Reacher meets a PG version of Banshee
