My girlfriend hasn't seen GOT, so I put HBOGO app on her TV and she's catching up before the new season gets here. Middle of season 4 right now. I've been watching a bunch of them with her trying to keep my mouth shut to not ruin it for a noob.

I just started a re-watch last night. See my closed captioning thread on the movie/tv board. I started re-watching with CC on and it's changing my life. Didn't realize how much I was missing or misunderstanding.

I'm at season 2 episode 4. I feel like my eyes are being opened-I finally get all the connections. I see how all the dialogue is foreshadowing. It's absolutely brilliant.

I'm imagining that you came out 15 lbs heavier infested with oil and acne surrounded by pizza boxes and beer cans. Impressive though

I just finished re-watching all episodes this past Sunday. 
I finished all seasons in 4 weeks. I didn't watch a single other thing during that time and even would watch an episode while on lunch break.

On season 2, episode 9, “Blackwater” now. Top 3 episode in the series. It marks the golden age of Game of Thrones for me, “Blackwater” to “The Children”.

Starting Season 1 Episode 1 right now. Will be my 3rd time. I peaked too soon on the last go around and finished a few months ago. Now I feel like I need another refresher before the last season starts.

wife had never watched any of them so I re-watched and she watched for first time all of them but took us about 5 months. 3 kids and hunting season really slowed it down but we finished em all. It is def interesting on the 2nd round all the stuff you pick up on that missed the first time bc of knowing what is coming. I doubt we try to watch them again but will prob watch a couple "recap" things on youtube or whatever to get one last refresher before the premier.

So at the end of Season 7, Gandolf is in jail fingerbanging Leia on Hoth waiting on Dumbledore to come back from the dead to help them?

The opposite. I was so committed to the show that I quit eating and drinking as much so that I didn't have to go to the bathroom a lot.
