Not saying the two have a ton in common outside of some geography, but my wife dragged me through every season of Outlander and I have to say it became a guilty pleasure after the brain bleach episode and flashbacks after the season one ending. I was barely able to stay onboard. But glad I did

As for Poldark, a couple years ago I half watched the first season and let it slip away. It seems right in my wheelhouse but I’ve never gone back to it. Beginning to end, is it a better watch?

I never finished either but if you like nudity Outlander wins.

First thing I was gonna say - lotta sex and nudity in Outlander

Poldark is pretty good though. No magic either. Don't remember any bewbs, so that might be the determining factor for some.

I've never seen Outlander, so I'll go with Poldark

It's Poldark.

Better question who is your choice?

Elanor Tomlinson

Or

Heida Reed

I'm with you and her voice is amazing.

Heida did do an amazing job of making me hate her in the show though.

Is Poldark full of gay torture?

I saw enough of Outlander to know that is sure is.

There is some (and it's used to show utter depravity as well as something horrible to overcome for the hero's journey), but "full of" is quite the exaggeration.

I think the point is that 'any' is too much.

For me, definitely. My wife and I had multiple debates over whether the captain in Outlander was more or less of a despicable character than Ramsay Bolton. It may actually be a draw idk

I will say for all the people that gave up on outlander, the last few seasons are completely different from the original premise

It’s like two different shows. The last 3-4 seasons are in the US and are around the Revolutionary War. Far less romance and time travel and more of a history based show. Much better than the first 3-4 seasons IMO

Poldark is ok. Wife loved it.

I just could never get past the fact the was the dumbest guy in the world. Almost every decision he made was wrong.

I prefer Poldark. I rolled my eyes less but it never really lost me. last season was the worst, but i still enjoyed it.

Ross' continued pining for his loss love when he had a wonderful wife of his own got old.

more nudity in Outlander, but i found the situations they got into far too melodramatic and...

Outlandish.

My joke to my wife about Poldark was that if they'd had phones back then, this would've been a two episode series. They padded it with unending montages of Poldark riding to and fro after hearing some news or needing to tell someone something.
