one of them being how poorly the Saul character was developed which is why I have never had even the slightest urge to watch BCS, which I can imagine is also highly over-rated).

quote:In BB, Saul is introduced as a (at best) 2-dimensional goofball, with character writing from like a sitcom in 70s. I think they realized that wasn't going to work, so he was a lot more serious by the end of the series.
many, MANY flaws that keep it from being as perfect as people act like on here, one of them being how poorly the Saul character was developed
Clown statement
Of course, isn't, BCS a PREquel to all that?

Great point. I've always thought that Better Call Saul was one of the greatest series of all time, but I hate it now that you've pointed out that Gilligan didn't have the prequel show fully fleshed out before writing Breaking Bad.

Is that really Carol's partner (the agent)? They haven't outright shown it to be the case - other than it seems to be the only soft spot she has.
We're going to need a Hodor thread for this show.

Two episodes in now. Great follow up to a top notch pilot.
Love the premise of a hive mind taking over the human race. Talking with ,my brother here at work and he doesn't think it's aliens and I kind of took it that it was for sure aliens. Almost like it was some old alien technology since it was 600(? light years away.
Also, not sure how the other five people that weren't effected are so happy. Other than the one guy that just likes banging hot brauds, which is totally understandable, did nobody else lose family/friends to this? I mean even the bitch Indian lady, I get that you're happy with your son still technically being alive but how would you not be upset now that he is basically a computer now and not a human?
really digging this one so far.

Hey bro
I was typing this up a bit ago...
---
These are my thoughts thus far (mostly a Carol point of view, since the simpletons can't get it).
E1: What is happening?
Pretends to be happy while signing books.
Go to bar and everyone around her falls down and spazzes, including her partner. World blows up.
E2: What can I do?
I'm angry and confused. Trying to gather and figure out WTF is going on here. Everyone has been put in this situation. Right?
E3: More of E2, but starting to see the flaws in their logic.
---
Personally, I need to see how this goes, but it's not just prima facia right now.

Holding hands a couple times.
Also Carrol’s temper annoyed me a little.

They held hands in the car. They live together. They have romantic pictures in the house. They go on vacation and sleep in the same bed.

I have no idea where this show goes, but if posters here (we know them) can't get basic story concept and filing in the gaps.
3 episodes and tunes out cuz dummy?
Need a Hodor thread for sure.

I think the show runners made it intentionally deceptive/vague because they, as a couple and team, don't want her sexuality to be known, as it would be bad for them professionally. Her novels are scifi/fantasy bodice rippers which have a male protagonist (the group mind finds a female look-alike for the model for the covers, and we find out that the protagonist was originally a female... likely due to the author being a lesbian), and the novels depend on heterosexual fantasy which would be undermined by a homosexual author. So, their public relationship is of a manager/author, but privately they're, romantically, a couple.
But yes, it's pretty clear they are romantic partners.

For sure. I saw some clip on Instagram or somewhere of the creator talking about it and he said "Whatever you think this show is... it's not that." Love that.
Reading through this thread a little and it's pretty funny early on.

Loved Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad but this sounds stupid

is easily one of the shittiest, least captivating taglines I've ever seen

All these teasers suck and the tagline is garbage

This looks like absolute shite. I think everyone was hoping for some type of Ripley Sci fi film/series. Instead it feels like a bad Tim Burton surrrealist film from the early 90s.
All on page two. I leaned on this thread that apparently people watch TV shows based on the tagline.

Idiots here can't even follow 3 episodes - before it probably gets more complicated.

I enjoyed the first 3 episodes
