I just saw Kingdom of the planet of the apes last night and that reminded me of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and this thread.

Best in the series and I actually feel physical in pain when Cesar and Jason Clark’s character embrace, knowing that their plan to co-exist was thisclose.

Absolutely, the way the scene skips back and forth showing that they are doomed to repeat their breakup endlessly and wind up here again is an excellent touch. That hallway scene give me nostalgia for a life I never lived for sure.
