solid one. i don't know if it's just the Boston thing, but I put this and good will hunting together a lot.
and to the other on GWH, i don't find anything bittersweet about it. RW and SS reconcile genuinely, RW decides to move on with his life, Will chooses love and to leave a life behind that he knew he could never keep up, and Affleck is happy that that Will doesn't walk out the door.
happy in every regard.

Good Will Hunting.
He leaves his best friends, his whole life, to be with a girl clear across the country.
I thought about this movie too, but I wouldn't say that it was bittersweet, since both Will and Sean were both getting out of the lives they both were both stuck in, and scared to get out of their comfort zone. I feel it's quite optimistic. My favorite part of that movie, is the letter at the end. If the professor asks, tell him I had to see about a girl... was a perfect end to that movie.

First time I saw it, I unknowingly watched the director's cut (where he commits suicide) and that ending fricked me up pretty hard.

Braveheart? Brutally tortured/executed but his rallying cry of “freedom” inspires Robert the Bruce.

Family Man. It’s sweet that they meet up to see where it goes but the family life we enjoy during the movie isn’t real.

Fury. They chose to stay and hold the crossroads and everyone but Norman didn't make it but it was a tale of heroism for the dedication and the carnage they dealt out knowing they wouldn't make it.

This is my number 1. I love that movie and its so sad now that I have a family. Yes he meets back up with her, but also none of those memories existed.

i'm not a fan of Hollywood diddling themselves in movies about Hollywood, but i greatly enjoyed this one.
Moonlight over La La Land is probably the greatest travesty in the last 10 years outside of Karla Sofía Gascón not winning this year.
My wife and I decided to do a daytime date day and saw that and went out after. It was the most fun i've had in a movie in a long time and i do not like musicals. We all know why Moonlight won

“The Arrival” belongs in the conversation. A very enjoyable, emotional movie.
