Not that I would have seen it but this is the first I've heard of this movie. I had no clue it was even being made

Correct. It's the pedophile rule. Not everyone with a mustache is a pedophile but every pedophile has a mustache.

I used to think that too.

From what ive seen in the previews, the movie looks awful. And im not even talking about its SJW themes

Oprah looks ridiculous in it with that costume and makeup. Its like something you'd see out of a school play

The film is often billed as “the first $100 million movie directed by an African-American woman,” and DuVernay

It isn't always about the money, and DuVernay should know that.

She also directed Selma. It had a much smaller budget but is a very, very good movie.

I’m taking my daughter to see it this weekend. We read the book and have talked about her vision and what we will see on the screen, and how that may vary.

Not to get all preachy, but my daughter is 8. If I can get an 8yr old to take a critical look at something like this, why can’t the rest of America take it upon themselves to do the same.

I saw the trailer when I went to see TLJ, and I have to admit it made me cringe.

I know we bitched about Zach Snyder's washed out color schemes, but this just looks WAY too bright and sparkly, like there should be some rainbow unicorns running around in the background.

I remember reading the book, can't say I remember the plot, but do recall thinking it was ok.

Loved this book when I was a kid experimenting with marijuana. This makes me sad.

I think I can hear the “thud” of this landing from here.

My question is how much marketing Disney put into this turd. I want it to exceed the losses of John Carter and Lone Ranger but that would require another hundred million or so in promotion with little return at the box office.

One of my dad's best friends father lives in the same apartment complex as her, and has quite a few stories on how she's a bitch.

I hate to break this to you but Oprah probably doesn’t live in an apartment complex

And not all black women are Oprah.

My wife showed me the trailer last night. Ophrah Winfrey, lot's of female characters, a bi-racial young girl as lead with a white father. I knew this place was going to lose it.

I'm not saying you're right or wrong, but an apartment in a big city isn't the same as one in bayou lapoot.

Oprah is frickin insufferable. Her being in a film is a guarantee I won’t see it.

This has nothing to do with right or left, but about taking creative license to shape a message that was not necessarily the intention of the original story.

The movie sucks, but Fox News somehow finds a way to squeeze in an anti-female, anti-diversity quip.

Disney’s $100 million gamble to turn the classic children’s book “A Wrinkle in Time” into a politically correct film filled with liberal talking points on feminism and diversity

Okay, are there still any last defenders of TLJ?

Knowing it's not about movie-making and entertainment and just agenda and ticking off the boxes on the SJW checklist?
