If I'm remembering correctly, Rip told John that they got the tags. But after they shot the wolves, and saw that they were collared and everyone started freaking out, one of them said something like "why does it matter, we have tags, right", and the other guy looked at him like "yeah, about that", and the guy that asked suddenly has an "oh $hit" look on his face. The implication was that they hadn't got the tags yet.

Dumb episode last night. Bar scene was completely unnecessary. Along with the lost baby storyline.

I’m not liking the attorney chick for the reservation, they’re making her out to be as ruthless as Beth but she’s got no reputation for it.
And I think the old midget brawd was JUST like Beth when she was younger.
ETA What did the camera zoom into after the wildlife agents decided to use the chopper and they rode out of the field?

This show just keeps lowering the bar.
The flashbacks to young Rip and Young Dutton are the most interesting parts of this show. Keep that and cut the rest of this crap.
Rip is the biggest pansy on this show. His wife just runs over him in front of the crew and they just ignore what he says. Then he apologized. This is like some Ye-Haw Romance paperback novel.
John Dutton's character is useless. He canceled the lease and is now just going to mope around forever. Exciting stuff, Sheridan. Top notch.
A wild barrel racer is back...must be blowing Sheridan between takes. Useless character.
What kind of useless life is that to lead on that ranch. Literally drunk indentured servants. Lloyd been working there 40 years and still gets excited about free whisky. Can barely buy himself a new buckle.
This show had a premise but now craps been thrown on the fire and we're all going to keep smelling the s*** until it burns out. What a complete abuse of its viewers and fans. They are not the same thing.

I'm not as tired of Monica as everyone else is. She's a boring character, but they could write her better. She's native American, she's not really fond of John Dutton.
That's a solid backstory that deepens the story and characters of Kayce, Monica, and Tate. If she's still not comfortable with Tate being around John, that creates a conflict within Kayce. She could be a Skyler White type of character. We'd still hate her, but it wouldn't feel like wasted screen time.
No, instead we just get to see new levels of trashiness from Beth.
Sheridan has good work. Yellowstone is not an example of it. Maybe he has a short attention span. Sicario was excellent, the sequel was disappointing. Hell or High Water was great. Wind River was great. 1883 was excellent.
I just question whether he has the vision to make a great show that's going to span more than 3 seasons, and I'm afraid this show is just going to drag on as a multi-year housewives melodrama that just happens to be set in the modern west.
