Don’t know. He must have demonstrated something to prove he was worthy of lifting Mjolnir over the course of the movie. That or Mjolnir was able to recognize what Captain America had done in the past and had deemed him worthy. Either way, watching someone with his skill level use his shield and Mjnolir at the same time was awesome.

I think he is worthy in AoU but as soon as he starts to move it stops so as to not upset Thor.

That’s why a lot of people didn’t want it in the plot at all.

But you knew it would be, because you knew all the “dead” characters already had future films in production.

So Peggy was lying in winter soldier when she said she never got that dance?

It would make sense. Steve would have told her what happened and that she would have to lie when the recently de-iced version came to her.

This is really about wrapping up the series and doing some fan service

“Doing some fan service” should not be the point of a movie or sections of a movie. How much fan service was there in Civil War?

In Age of Ultron he wasn’t doing it because he needed it. He was doing it for a competition. In Endgame, him, Tony and Thor were legit about to die, especially Thor. Think that helped speed things up

You can tell a great story while having moments from the source material that your fans have wanted to see for decades.

There are times for fan service and there are times to not do fan service.

If there has EVER been a time for fan service, it’s the final battles of Endgame. It was perfectly timed and as a result it was incredibly satisfying.

Again, if you dislike the bulk of the MCU, I can understand you not getting it, but the MCU earned that moment with a decade of multiple solid to outstanding movies per year.

Them going further back for the tessaract immediately nullified Loki ever taking the cube. There’s no story to tell because it never happens despite us seeing that.

That makes zero sense. Cap would have to return it back to the 70s. Which means Loki dissapearing would still happen.

Did you pay attention to the movie? Baldy herself says that taking a stone would frick up the dimension she's in not hulks

I like the MCU generally

but the MCU earned that moment

It earned a lukewarm finale? Fan service is the opposite of good storytelling.

I can understand loving or hating that finale, but it certainly was not lukewarm.

Do you not just want to have fun sometimes? For God’s sake, every scene doesn’t have to be Shakespeare.

Also, that battle made sense narratively. Thanos has won over and over again by picking off the heroes one by one in separate groupings. To see everyone he’s battled, damaged, killed and taken things from come at him in one righteous wave was extremely cathartic.

I always want to have fun. Taking me out of the movie with gratuitous fan service is the opposite of fun.

The IW finale was fun.

So you don’t like action movies or superheroes?

That’s perfectly fine, but that’s the only way that I can see that scene not being fun

Agree to disagree. I thought the fan service was earned. Not nearly as cheesy as the GoT “fan service”

The events of Winter Soldier and Civil War, and his consequent development.

He was always strong willed, but prior to these points he worked in partnership and under like minded individuals. After then he forged his own path, becoming a true leader with a following on his own.

I just said the IW finale was fun.

I don’t like too many winks to the camera and I don’t like characters doing things they shouldn’t be able to do. That’s it.

No, Loki taking the cube created a new timeline. Events branched off. But the universe wasn’t thrown into chaos because the stones were still around.

From what I gather we have main timeline
* Steve-Peggy timeline
* Altered 70s timeline (Tesseract is now just a stone, just a subtle difference.)
* Altered 2012 timeline with Loki
* Altered 2014 timeline with no more Thanos.

And somehow Steve returns to his original one and gives Sam and Bucky the shield. The old Steve appearance is the most logically questionable thing to me.

Nobody in that finale did anything that they shouldn’t have been able to do.

The only thing that’s even really debatable is how Tony swiped the stones from Thanos.
