re: Movies that cannot be viewed in such a manner as the first time ever again (spoilers)

Shutter Island blew its load in the trailers anyone that was surprised by the ending wasn't paying attention

Obvious inclusion for this thread, but the end still gives me a charge due to Lila's reaction when Norman enters the fruit cellar.
Her expression of shock, terror, and WTF reminds me of what it was like to watch for the first time.

The Russian name for Avengers Endgame is “Methteam Ohnaa”

I was at a friend's house watching this as a teen, I was so stoned and into the story. I got up until the last act of the car ride to the designated location. My ride showed up and I left, was bummed I couldn't finish the film. But I thought about it all night..went back over the next day, fired back up and got my mind blown.

Small rant..Now, i absolutely love this film. Very important to me. But what always bothered me about this film, is that they spent so much time focusing on the basement. A lot of people say "Cooper was Right, the cellar was the safest pace."..there is no way that they would have all been locked in down there together and survived. Especially when Karen Cooper made her eventual resurrection.
Since Ben had already done a decent job boarding up the 1st floor before meeting anyone besides Barbara, and shite really went down because they were all making so much noise reinforcing the 1st floor..
They should have let Cooper keep the basement, then took all supplies upstairs, finally knocking out the stairs. Worse comes to worse..you had a Winchester Model 1894 (which can be very accurate) and a 12 gauge with decent ammo..you can defend all sides of the house, also cutting access to the roof as well. Even if they took the 1st floor, with no stairs you were sitting safe out of reach. If the Coopers don't make it, they're already locked in. Ben had it boarded up for at least a good hour or two before it got out of hand. All they had to do was knock out the stairs, have a ladder or rope..go upstairs and just be quiet. Lay on the roof if need be. You're not going to attract 1/10 the amount.
Id have hated being part of that group.

Name a dumber moment in a Spielberg movie.
When the uppity black character is chuckin' and jiving with Abraham Lincoln early on in Lincoln. Lincoln wouldn't have listened to that crap.

I really liked this one, better than Aguirre. But I'm not following why it can't be viewed the second time? There was no big twist that changed the viewing of the film that I recall.

Not really so much the plot twist as it is the overall plot structure but Pulp Fiction.

Another one is No Way Out with Costner and Hackman. Great movie with another ending that surprised the hell out of me.

Has anyone ever watched The Village twice?
Yeah, that movie was like watching paint dry. I kept waiting for it to get better, and it didn't.
Wasted a fine cast in that one.

After the first viewing, all The Usual Suspects is is a 90 minute bull shite marathon from Kevin Spacey.
Not necessarily. I posed this question years ago with some good replies. Spacey is bullshitting some but that doesn't mean everything we've seen in the film didn't actually happen

Three pages deep and not one mention of "Primal Fear" with Ed Norton and Richard Gere.
One of the best ending plot twists and right up there with "The Sixth Sense" in my book.

Fight Club. I had never even heard of the book before I watched it in theaters (I thought the trailers looked cool). Was blown away by the twist and it’s still one of my favorite movies.

It's hard to get excited for the "ultimate" birthday present when you already know what it is.
This is the movie I came to comment, one of my favorites, such an underrated gem!

Incorrect. It becomes a vehicle for enjoying the awesomeness of Kevin Pollack and Benicio del Toro. The high point is the interrogations and lineup.
Yes, I fully realize that's basically the start of the movie and it all goes downhill from there after the first viewing. Especially because Spacey is a degenerate.
