re: Dunkirk question (spoiler alert) - DesertFox
The Germans were actually known to respect enemy pilots and treat them at least decently. Still, it's a good question......

re: Flight sim gaming - DesertFox
As already mentioned, Microsoft FSX and X-Plane 11 are both fantastic. FSX has a lot of free add-ons (both scenery and planes) that you can download that really improve the look of the game. I've been playing it for years and it never gets old to me. I haven't even checked out the Virtual Airline...

re: The Witcher: Enhanced Edition free on GOG - DesertFox
Yep, I agree. I've only made it a few hours into it but once you get used to the combat, it's a lot of fun. Obviously it's nowhere near as good as 3, but you can't go wrong getting it for free......

Just a heads-up, The Witcher: EE is free on GOG if you sign up for their newsletter (which you can cancel immediately after). You'll need to add GWENT: The Witcher Card Game to your library first (which is also free). https://www.gog.com/game/gwent_the_witcher_card_game Here's the link to the...

re: Please help me pick a single player game on PC - DesertFox
If you add any games you're interested in to your Steam wishlist, it will notify you via email if/when the game goes on sale. Just click "Add to Wishlist" from the game's Steam page. I second the recommendations for Stardew Valley. That is one of the most addictive games I've ever played. ...

re: Who hasn't played Battle Brothers? - DesertFox
Yes, you pick up quests (contracts) in the towns on the map, and you have to balance the risk of losing your guys versus the rewards for completing the contract. Your guys can get injured (sometimes permanently) and if they die, they're gone for good. Your band of guys kind of create their own sto...

re: Question about Dunkirk - DesertFox
Now THAT is more like what I'd expect to see. Burnt-out vehicles, smoke/fire, wounded soldiers, and men eveywhere you look. Not a pristine beach with a few lines of soldiers and one burnt-out anti-aircraft gun. I'll have to check that movie out, I've never heard of it!...

re: Question about Dunkirk - DesertFox
Finally watched this last night for the first time, and while I thought it was a good movie, I think Nolan missed the mark on telling the full story and capturing the epic scale of the real-life event. The real Dunkirk involved thousands of British civilians banding together and putting themselves ...
