Segall dying in the first 15 mins of Executive Decision surprised the hell out of me. The shark eating Sam Jackson right in the middle of a monologue in Deep Blue Sea was insane too.

There were quite a few in that movie. When Chigur was hit by the car near the end was probably the biggest for me. I think I actually exclaimed “What the frick!” in the movie theater!

Horror movies probably shouldn’t count for threads like this, but the scene in The Shining with the guy in the bear costume giving a blow job ... that definitely came out of nowhere!
