Yep, I need more Jake.

Great series…
Took the MCU into some uncharted territory with mental illness. Isaac and Hawke did great. Episode 5 was award worthy for Isaac.
I think the series is done here. With Jake in the mid-credit scene you also presumably see the death of Ammit. Khonshu wins, end of story. Not sure what’s left to pick up for next season.

I agree but the character has become entertaining enough to grow upon. I hope his story continues with the new avengers.

This series was fantastic in completely uncharted lands for Marvel! Really into the way Marc and Steven can easily switch during fights now. Layla as a badass avatar hero is a cool edition to. More Tawaret is cool with me. This Jake thing needs to be sorted out, so I feel like there must be a season 2 or a movie coming.
I’m racking my brain to figure this out... does this series serve as the best character intro in the MCU?
The only other one that comes to mind are the Guardians.
I was unfamiliar with Moon Knight and he’s now instantly a favorite. Oscar Isaac deserves some awards, especially for ep5.

This season was incredible. Really hoping they make another. I had no idea what to expect going into this, and it feels like one of the best stories in Marvel now
The credits scene ties the knot with Harrow and probably Ammit, but it definitely sets up a season 2 if Marvel wants to pursue it. The season 2 would have Jake and Khonksu as the antagonists and Marc/Steven along with Layla and Tawret as protagonists. Marc and Steven full on fighting with the Jake personality could be incredibly interesting

I guess Legion might not have officially been part of the MCU, but anyone that enjoyed the viewing the world through the eyes of a mad man part should check Legion out on Hulu. What happened in Moon Knight was at 6 and Legion is a 15 out of 10 on the crazy scale.

I am interested in the character
I feel like this season should have been longer
I think Cutting away for the climactic battle to set up a 3rd personality for season 2 is an insane anticlimax to season 1.

I absolutely loved that part because it’s not something you see ever. It seems crazy but most of us knew exactly what was happening. Admittedly, I didn’t do much comic book reading. I know most of the main people but had never even heard of MK before this, and that was by far my favorite D+ show so far, and I’m find it hard to be in my book.
I can understand people complaints about not actually seeing MK enough and being worried there was too much to tie up, but I thought they absolutely nailed it.

What? I mean I’m sure they could leave it as a one off in case they wanna put Moon Knight in a movie or maybe a team up series or movie with Blade or Ghost Rider. I know they probably planned on this being a one-off but MCU’s Twitter changed a tweet from it being the “series finale” to the “season finale” and people really enjoyed the show and both Marc and Steven. People will be clamoring for more.
If Steven and Marc not realizing they aren’t truly free and are about to be in a war with a more dangerous third personality isn’t enough for a Season 2 then I don’t know what is. Plus there’s still some mystery surrounding Layla’s father’s death. I think the success of the show will make Feige interested in bringing on a 2nd Season. I think it will ultimately come down to whether Isaac wants to do it. He didn’t sign a long term contract like a lot of the other MCU actors.
ETA: I don’t think we’ll have clarity anytime soon. Rumors were that Feige and some of the top writers at Marvel were going to a retreat to plan out the next ten years at Marvel. I’m sure that includes all the TV shows and those characters and what they want to do with She-Hulk and Moon Knight as well as Kate Bishop and Bucky and Falcon. I do think we’ll get a second season. But I don’t know if we’ll get a traditional villain like this one. They might use a second season to focus on Khonshu and Jake while bringing in another hero like Blade or Ghost Rider to bring some flair to the show

Honestly, bringing along an early look at Ghost Rider and seeing Johnny Blaze battle some inner demons sounds like something that would appeal to a show like Moon Knight and characters like Marc and Steven.
And of course maybe the first mention of Mephisto and perhaps his first appearance in the MCU? Might not be a bad way to ease Ghost Rider back into things before a movie to help cleanse the palette of people with Nic Cage on the brain. Same with Blade. An MCU Dark wouldn’t be a bad idea to give more time to some of the darker and weirder aspects of Marvel.

Legion
Was absolutely fantastic and this series didn't come close to what Legion did. Now Legion wasn't in the MCU because at the time that was a Fox property... I could 100% see that series being looped in to grab some GREAT characters when they bring mutants into the fold.
OK, now to Moon Knight. It was good, I liked it but the mental hospital thing was done so much better in Legion so that "twist" just left me confused... of course they were going to bring in Jake, they hinted at his existence every episode and even if you just did the briefest back story check on the character you knew there was another personality. I had prior interest in Moon Knight back in the 90's but there just wasn't much material out there, nothing like X-men where you could read for eternity and never find the beginning or end.
I hope he ends up in a spiderman and becomes a recurring character.

Happy Steven got his badass moments too. He used those batons well.

So the fake asylum scenes where Marc and Steven were talking to Ethan Hawke - was that where those personalities went to when the other(s) took over?

So will Jake have his own custom Moon Knight suit?

quote:yeah, the guy is really entertaining, a force of a personality. I first saw him in Robin Hood movie starring Russell Crowe as the young Prince John seizing control of England. I wanted a sequel to that movie bad, but it never came because I wanted to see more Isaac as the King.
oscar isaac is an excellent actor.

Oscar Isaac did absolutely fantastic, I’ve been impressed with him before, but this took it to another level.
I love the MCU, but overall Moon Knight is a bit of a miss for me. I’m much more interested in Marc/Steven/Jake than I am Moon Knight and talking hippos and alligators and birds.
If they make a season 2 I’ll watch it, but I wouldn’t be too disappointed if they didn’t either

So did MoonNight really fight & defeat the bad guy totally offscreen?
And none of it was shown in the season (series?) finale??
Bold.

It had to be done that way. We see the story of Season 1 thru the eyes of Marc and Steven. They weren't "there" for the end of the battle.
