Good observation.
The first is probably Jake Lockley his 3rd identity that has been hinted at the whole time.
Loved episode 5. Such a great episode. One of my favorites in the MCU so far. Oscar Isaac acted his arse of in that. R.I.P Steven our sweet prince.

Marc's dad is a bum. He should have put Marc's mom in an institution to get her head right and instead let her be such an abusive drunk that his kid went nuts just to be able to deal w/it.
Also, who the hell lets their kids play in a cave that could flood if it ever rains? GTFO w/that noise. WOAT parents in the MCU.

watched it again. Marc definitely used a different accent when he picked up that glass pyramid in the first scene with Harrow. That could definitely be Jake but he didn't do the eye transition or look into a reflective surface so probably not but it was way different than how Marc was acting prior in that scene.

I didn’t think another episode in the series could top the first one. But holy shite that was fantastic and just so damn sad. Oscar Isaac is becoming my favorite actor.
I definitely think Steven comes back. If Marc created him once, he can create him again. I think maybe the cliffhanger is them revealing Jake and exploring that in a second season. They still have a lot to cover in the next episode, though.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned in this thread, or even if it existed in previous episodes.. but I happened to let the credits roll to the end and at the end of the first half of the credits, the image on the screen flips through 3 distinct “suits.”
The first one is one we haven’t seen, with eyes kind of like Spidey’s mask (but with mummy tape). The second is Mark’s suit with the hood. The third is Steven’s suit, then he opens his eyes and it goes to the second half of the credits (black background).
I went back and looked and I’m pretty sure the first two are the Moon Knight suit, with the first one being just the wrappings and the second being the hood

Oscar Isaac is such a good goddamn actor. That was excellent episode. Nice to see something different from the MCU.

Worst parent than Thanos and Ego.

Some of the episodes in these Marvel shows are so emotionally draining. It's like they want to send us to therapy.

I'm pretty sure it's Jake.
Steven is shocked to find out that their mother beat them. Marc says something like 'this is why you exist', but Steven had no idea this happened.
Cut to a face-beaten Oscar Issac talking to Dr. Harrow with a weird accent. I think Jake's the one that's been taking the beatings for Marc since he was a kid, and Steven only came out when the mom died.
I wonder if one of those hard turns of the ship flipped Jake out of his sarcophagus, and that's why the hearts wouldn't balance. There were three personalities on the ship and only two hearts on the scales.

I agree. Otherwise Steven would have remembered being beaten or his mom dead.

Maybe Jake is the OG and accepted khonshu as a kid. Then created mark and Steven

Thinking as I type here:
I'm wondering if the Marc and Steven personalities somehow harmonzied into one when Steven turned into sand. That balanced the scales.
Thus the guy in the sunny fields of wheat or whatever was a combination of both of them. The hippo goddess said that the sand creatures died unbalanced, not that they were evil, so maybe that sea of sand is more a temporary place rather than a place like hell.
I still can't figure out how Jake plays into all of this though. As someone said in an earlier post, it seems like he would still keep the scales from balancing,

It might not be that it was Steven getting frozen in the sands that did it. It's possible that Marc's reaction to losing him is what caused the scales to balance.

This is what I took from it when Steven realized he was also Marc and started fighting. Maybe now it will also be this way for Marc - he realizes he is also Steven and will have his knowledge going forward

This was probably the most thought provoking of all the series’s. Loki was very fun, Wanda vision was clever, but this was thought provoking.
