Rick gets Karen pregnant(Gary's crush) ,then leaves her. Let's Gary pay for her abortion. (Gary sells most of his possessions and borrows money from his boss.) Then allows Gary to nurse her back to health. Then steals her back from Gary during her Birthday party.

Here's an oldie, but a real loser:
Plato from Rebel Without a Cause. I know you're supposed to feel bad for that kid, but he really turns into a complete turd at the end. Talk about a complete loser.

I say Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite. He was pretty stinkin' creepy!

In a social environment where racing cars off a cliff is a way to determine manliness, I think Plato was pretty normal.

There's a car salesman at a Honda dealer named Mr. Hand. Old bald headed dude.
No, I didn't buy a car from him. Yes, he had heard about The Mr. Hand quite a few times.

My vote is for Neidermeyer from Animal House
OR
Steff, the rich pretty boy, from Pretty in Pink

Sorry you're wrong about Steff. He was an a-hole to the 10th degree but far from a loser.
Spader played that part and a similar character in Less than Zero to a T.

The guy sold/scalped concert tickets usually ripping people off
He served as a bookie on the side
He fricked his best friend's girlfriend
BTW, she wasn't anyone's girlfriend and had a crush on Damone.

resumed to help for the abortion
Then said he would drive her to the clinic but backed out at the last minute
Did you miss the part where he was tracking down people that owed him money for tix to a concert they already went to?

Who didn't wear a suit to school and smoke in the hallways during class?

yeah, just watched this last night, after hearing about it in this thread. Gary is the bigger loser by far. Rick was in to her too, and got her, Gary wanted sloppy seconds, he also never really was direct about how he felt until after the abortion. Plus what punk pays to abort some one else's kid? Should have let them work it out. Instead Gary just made Rick and Karen's lives easier. And that bitch when she sees him at the end pulls all closer to Rick, and he turns around and gives the douchiest look. Then drives Gary off crying, like damn, plenty of fish in the sea.
Rick definitely wasn't the loser in that movie..
This bitch was just a hoe..
aged okay though..

He always reminded me of this kid I went to grade school and high school with. Total sleaze, thought he was so cool but he wasn't, etc.

There were fewer than 100 in my graduating class, but when I look through the yearbook, there are a lot of people I have absolutely no recollection of.
I'm almost that way and mine was that small, too.
I'll see people in the year book and it's like "holy shite, I probably haven't thought about that guy since I was actually in HS. Maybe not even then.". And I graduated in 2005.

Why sell a ticket and not get the full amount up front? We're things different in the 80's

Damone looks about what I thought he would at 50

Steff shouldn't really count since he didn't even land Andie... we not talking about that kind of loser.
