When Disney knows they have a stinker on their hands they start pumping up the gay narrative of the movie/show to deflect any criticism as just being homophobic.
Like at some point the LGBT crowd has to get tired of constantly having to take L's on behalf of Disney just because the company is trying to trot out any half idea pitched to them in the never ending quest for more content.

It's not doubling down, this show was greenlit years ago before Iger announced cutting down of content. I'm sure they just want to get this one over with and move on to his plans.

He intentionally leans into this question and drags it out. This is done on purpose, it’s performative.
Of course, this was already in the pipeline. They actually wanted to make both of Wanda’s children gay, not just one. But even Disney decided that was too much.

I don't care about this show at all. Just stating that this was greenlit way back in 2021. I doubt we'll see any of these characters again.

I just enjoy watching Disney’s not so secret gay agenda collapse upon itself.
Inside Out 2 did bank without turning young Riley into a budding lesbian. Every single person knows that trying to steer the plot in that direction would have sank this movie. (Buzz Lightyear, Strange World ). Furthermore, they edited out suggestive scenes which may have implied she was gay. The activist at Disney know this & are forced to shut up & choke on their agenda.
