Let’s look at a few things that are just out of place in the realm of Game of Thrones.

1) The High Sparrows introduction was absolutely out of place. For the past 4 seasons we get used to the King of the Iron Throne having all thiscalmoght power, no one dare step to the King or Queen, no one. Yet, here arrives a religious group that no one has heard of and they have the power to lock up anyone they want, even the queen and the king can’t prevent it. Wat. Why weren’t the high sparrows used before?

2) Just lol at the hair color changes of Jaime Lannister. His hair was undeniably blonde in the first few seasons, then out of no where his hair turns brown. Cersei’s hair color seems to change too.

3) Lol at Sansa and Reek surviving that jump. Speaking of Reek, he miraculously found the courage to run away out of nowhere.

4) Stannis Baratheon giving up his child to the fire was also a complete stretch. After we just established how he saved her from becoming a stone man he now turns to burning her alive.

5) Tyrion somehow became a warrior, beating up his captor. Tyrion has never been a fighter.

These are just a few things I didn’t like about season 5 but the high sparrows thing takes the cake.

they didn't do a good job of showing the common folk and how much they were on the verge of rioting. that's how the sparrows came to power

this was bad and they should feel bad

the show hit its peak in seasons 2-3 and has been on a decline since, falling off a cliff in 7

how can you make this thread with a straight face and ignore Dorne?

Cersei gave them the power to do that.

1. The High Sparrow only rose because of the power vacuum left after Tywin died. Tommen was virtually a figure head the HS was able to control.

2. Seems like a minor and really stupid complaint.

3. A little unrealistic sure but it was a snow bank and Theon was suffering from very serious PTSD but the real him was still there.

4. Stannis was so far into wanting the throne he would do anything. Not really that far out there

5. I mean he just whipped with chains after tripping but still a minor complaint

Season 5 is the worst, but Season 6 was a nice recovery. Unfortunately I think they may have blown their load there. The end in the show is coming down to being exactly what Ser Too Fat To Write A Book said it wouldn’t be: good vs mindless evil. Seriously any character we actually like are now on the same side. Then there are only two other sides: The White Walkers and Cersei, Euron, and Qyburn, all three of which are pure fricking evil.

I think the books is more coming down to the War of the Three Hands, with the Hands being Tyrion, Littlefinger, and Varys, and they will all have decent people under them that just don’t know what the frick is going on. Tyrion will be the one that realizes that winning the War will be saving Westeros from the White Walkers, while I don’t think Littlefinger and Varys will be up for that challenge.

I recall at least two battles he fought in.

You obviously didn't pay too much attention to the show if these are your problems with season 5. The sparrows rose to power because Tywin died, Tommen was weak and Cersie allowed them to arm themselves in an effort to wrestle back control from Margerie and the Tyrells.
Pay attention next time.

I think Jaime's hair was a victim of age and trauma during his captivity.

Tyrion fought well at Backwater. Silly complaint.

Agreed, but those early seasons were really good.

The show ending will be exactly what Martin told them the ending was. They don’t get to make up the outcome, they only fill in the blanks he left leading the way there. And, he’s never going to finish the books.

Martin has hinted at this as well, though there will be some obvious differences.

Did you just miss the episode(s) where the high sparrow overthrew the deep state puppet high septon and Cersi's dumb arse allowed the faith to militarize for the first time since the last they tried this same shite?

There's some deep arse snowbanks at Winterfell and has it occurred to you that Sansa's presence is what gave him the courage to run?

LOL. No he didn't. Do you even watch the show?

You really don't watch the show. Do you even Battle of the Blackwater, bro?

Look, there's plenty to nitpick in the show (teleporting Varys), but all of your examples were terrible.

Roose Bolton has a specific line that the snow outside Winterfell is twenty feet deep. Missed nitpick...Though when they show the Battle of the Bastards, there is very little snow on the ground.

It wasn’t explained. High Sparrow shite came out of nowhere.

To you. But to me, the blonde hair was the identity of the Lannister’s. It’s a pretty big deal that was established in the beginning of the series.

A little? Just a scene prior they pushed the other girl off who instantly died from what looked like a much shorter jump

4. Stannis was so far into wanting the throne he would do anything. Not really that far out there

In a world where folks die just for looking at you wrong, he saved and loved his stone faced daughter. I argue that it was way out of character

Tyrion, now chained up, can somehow overpower his captor. Right

Definitely meant to mention this. Idk why they changed their hair color

He led the battle but he didn’t really fight. He isn’t a fighter, this was established plenty of times, hell it was even established in the same episode he beat up his captor while in chains. It was a convenient plot hole to get the other slave owner to take him with Jorah

S5 is when the REALLY started diverging from the books. Just an awful, awful season. And they somehow made the Sand Snakes even worse.

This was in the books though.
