Bruce and Diana were HEAVILY implied as an item in the animated series.

Those two couldn't be more polar opposites and have very little in common with each other with two completely different world views and backgrounds. There's a reason why the animated series only tinkered with the possibility but never really went through with it and I don't recall it being a possibility in the comics.

They definitely touched on it in the books pre new 52. She viewed Bruce as the best humanity has to offer and was attracted to him. There was even an issue where they discussed them being together but because he would age as a human would and she wouldn't they decided against it. There was an entire page or so devoted to how it would play out.

Wasn't there an elseworlds issue in which they had a daughter who became Batman after he died?

Can you tell me with a straight face that Amy Adams is a better choice? Snyder probably put a dart board with actress names attached to it and just landed on Amy Adams.

Yes.
Casting was never one of Snyder's weaknesses.

Doesn't necessarily mean she considers him on the same moral level as Clark/Superman is who Bruce has already said that he's the best and most important symbol of hope and peace for humanity.

That's almost exactly how this scene went.....

LINK

Oh and the aging concept is definitely at play in Kingdom Come like this when Superman and Wonder Woman are together with a family and they solicit Bruce's help and company....

It's still early and there's a lot of room for improvement with the right director but I fear that Ezra Miller may be miscast as well.

I don't think he has that confidence and stature that Barry Allen would normally have. Miller just seems off to me as Flash.

Certainly not like what Grant Gustin's Flash has.

Just saw it with my son. That's 2 different generation's point of view on it; and we agreed- what a missed opportunity.

My son commented that the TV Flash would have been much better, and I agree. They just played this wrongly.

Not real sure what Aquaman's deal is, still. I did like Mamoa, but I just don't have a handle on him.

Maybe it's the Elfman score with the Batman theme creeping through, but I suddenly thought- this is the Michael Keaton Batman, 2 decades later. Exploding penguin comments, etc. Affleck is playing Keaton. I kinda liked that, and now wish they'd bring Keaton back if Affleck is done.

So, who beat Steppenwolf earlier, Zeus?

And why in the hell would you revive Clark and wait before having Lois at hand to calm him down? Nothing about that fight made any sense, and like what was mentioned above, the only redeeming part of that was Clark looking at Flash.

Elfman kept teasing the Batman theme. It frustrated me but I thought it would be worth it when it showed up in full force at the end. Instead, we never get it. Very disappointed in his score. He hasn't had a memorable theme since Spiderman.

This film would have been so much better with Josh Brolin/Jon Hamm as Batman, Alexandra Daddario as Wonder Woman, The Rock as Cyborg, and just about anyone would be better than Ezra. See what I did there?

i enjoyed this movie. I don't get the hate.

The only thing i didn't like was the Barry Allen character. Always though Barry was supposed to be smart?

Same here. It was a fun two hours, nothing groundbreaking. The Superman resurrection was done well, Flash seems like he has room to grow as a character, though not 100% on the casting yet. The only gripe I have is the team up seemed so rushed. We never get to explore the lore behind Atlantis or the relation between Cyborg and the mother boxes. Wish they had taken time to build the universe like Marvel did.

This Barry seemed to be super-intelligent, but didn't have the benefit of a Joe West to take him in and raise him. This Flash seems to have taken his mother's murder and his father's incarceration extremely hard, to the point of his going into seclusion. (I never liked the tragic Allen parents retcon. I prefer my Silver Age Flash, the guy who had family, friends, and didn't need a tragedy to define him as a hero.)

Aquaman jokes usually piss me off, but having Mamoa there to show his displeasure had me enjoying the fish gags. Batman asking him if he could put "feelers" out to see what was going on in the ocean had me laughing.

Saw this movie yesterday with my son. Although I enjoyed the movie for what it was, I feel and agree with those that say it was rushed. This why DC is behind Marvel in the movie experience. I think the characters outside of Batman, Wonder Women and Superman needed their own individual movies to build the character backgrounds like Marvel did with Avengers.

Not having the background and the ability to connect to Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg it felt incomplete and disconnected. If this would've taken place, I feel this movie would have been move more received.

My rating is 6/10 = good, not great.

Crocodile Dundee could tell you what time it is by looking at the sun but if you stuck him in a lab, he'd probably just stab everything.
