One thing I always wondered about Jeopordy - how to they make absolutely sure that all of the buzzers work at the precise same speed. It seems like a couple hundreds of a second off would make a hell of a lot of difference. I guess there is some sort of protocol that they use to test them.

Oh, and I don't believe Trebec really knows as much as he tries to lead people to believe about the answers with his little asides. (I keep waiting for the Sean Connery character from the old Saturday Night Live skits to come on and knock him down a peg or two).

Yeah, its very easy to appear smart when you're holding the cards with answers.

Chu has been pretty incredible, but I don't think we will see another person do what Ken Jennings did...74 wins on Jeopardy is quite the feat.

Chu has that cocky nerd thing going on, and I think it upsets the old blue haired Jeopardy viewers

What the frick difference does it make if a guy doesn't go straight down a column? Every question will be hit.

The old timers biggest complaint with Chu's game theory is that it makes it "less fun" to play at home. The old viewers love to play the game left to righ, top to bottom. Not sporadic

I think it's fantastic what he's doing

Right.

But I think he's doing what he wants to do, and he's awesome too.
Not exactly the easiest to follow at home, I know, but so what?

when does jeopardy come on? I'd like to watch and see this guy.

I also think it's funny people complain about what method he picks the questions/answers...I mean he still has to get them right and everyone else has just as much chance to buzz in as he does.

The crazy thing is he's far from the first person to use this strategy. But I've never heard this much whining about it.

I think a lot of the old white people who watch Jeopardy every day don't like seeing this cocky, nerdy asian styling on everyone.

Jennings won the most times but didn't win the most money on jeopardy.

I DVR Jeopardy everyday. I am a huge Jeopardy nerd. Chu is a beast. He plays unconventional, but very smart. He will bet $1 for a Daily Double that he knows little about the category and will go all in more than the average player.

His Daily Double strategy is great. He keeps them away from the other players, and usually doesn't hurt himself. He is also very fast in moving on the board and it throws other players off.

It is on at 6:00 p.m. (opposite the local news). I think it might come on during the day too - maybe 11:00 or something like that. But I'm not sure about that part.

And yeah - the guy has every right to pick answers in whatever order he wants - it's within the rules. I guess an argument can be made that it kills a little of the suspense at the end because when all there are left are 200 and 400 answers and he has a huge lead, it really doesn't matter what happens at that point. But in reality with a contestant as dominant as he is there isn't much suspense anyway.

He's a really good player, but gtfo of here with ken jennings comparisons. He won like 2.5 million on the show and won like 70 in a row. Plenty of people have won 7 in a row.

Nobody has really ever come close to Jennings-like domination.

Brad Rutter was better than Ken Jennings, and proved it at the ultimate tournament of champions when he beat Jennings.
Guy has never lost in 20 jeopardy matches. he played when you could only win 5 in a row then you were done.

Yesterday he was within a few hundred of 2nd. Got a daily double. Made it a true one and instantly built his lead to 4-5 thousand. He's smart and has good strategy

The hate is dumb, regardless of his strategy he still has to get the questions right/hit the buzzer first.

Also for those saying he hasn't been close to losing, didn't he tie a game?

I'm fine with it but it's definitely more enjoyable to watch jeopardy when people start from the $200 clues and run through a category. I like having champions, though, and love when people play well regardless of how they do it
