It would make more sense for him to be Jason Bourne as that's an alias.
A new 00 agent would also work. But killing James bond to make it an alias is lame on par with James bond Jr.

He does not, and it’s nothing to do with the hair and everything to do with the fact that he’s more of a high flying ninja warrior type than what Bond usually is. Idris Elba Fits more of the traditional Bond role than Craig. Either he or Hiddleston would be a good choice.

The same thing that happened to Ghostbusters (and even SW) will happen again - people will either lose or not make as much money as they could have. People don't like major changes to beloved franchises. Period. It has been proved time and again.
We have a close exception - Ocean's 8 - it did fairly well but with reshoots and marketing cost, it didn't make nearly as much as it could have. And it doesn't really hold the same nostalgia as a long-standing franchise.

Three Stupidest Arguments People Have for the New James Bond

Be a brutish, violent drunk (instead of a smooth cool operator)
Have a big scar on his cheek
Look "cruel" (a term repeatedly used to describe his looks)
Be a drug addict (he would abuse methamphetamines regularly)

I like Idris Elba as an actor. I originally wasn’t too keen on having a black actor play a mythical Norse god in the Thor series of films, but he grew on me. If James Bond were an alias for whomever was 007, I wouldn’t care at all what race the actor is. I don’t understand the whole “it’s time for a non-white James Bond” argument. Why is it time? Because the SJWs say it is?
