Fury Road is solid in its action but fricking hell people vastly overrate it. It’s not a genre defining film by any means. And people cumming their pants about its “practical” visual effects, yeah okay. If by practical you mean marginally less than any other big blockbuster, then go ahead.

Did have some great set design and a pretty good score though.

I agree with Scruffy.

Infinity War is approaching this.

While a pretty good action movie, it’s more a Christmas movie.

Fury Road was boring as shite and had a pointless plot.
I’m sorry but I’m not entertained by trucks driving and guitars with fire just for shits and giggles. It was an absolutely pointless story and made for a boring arse movie.

I honestly have no idea how people enjoy this movie, and I can usually find what the appeal is for most movies for others.

I'll go with Fury Road being the GOAT film of actual stunts. And after 10 minutes I was bored and finally fell asleep.

I did finish it the next night but

The Road Warrior >>>>> Fury Road as an enjoyable movie.

I agree. Fury Road is incredible and should have won Best Picture or Best Director for Miller

Was Raiders of the Lost Ark an action film? If so, it’s GOAT.

The first is a focused and gritty proof-of-concept film, and the 2nd is an epic crime drama. he wanted to make 2 first, but had to make 1 to show investors that they were the real deal. It's amazing and much bigger in scope, but has the same quality action scenes.

The first one is my favorite movie of all time. The fight scenes are so visceral and real looking that at it becomes a horror movie. I wish the guy that played mad dog was in more American movies because that little guy could go.

The second I was genuinely tired after watching it. Almost too much action, and I never thought that was possible.

It absolutely is. No movie mentioned in this thread is better, except maybe Die Hard.

Road Warrior is the true GOAT. If you want to talk practical effects, watch that movie. Fury Road has the edge with the score though.

This is a great list. All three fit in other genres as well. All three have tight plots and are imminently rewatchable.

Predator might be the tightest. Seen it a million times and it pulls me in each and every time its on.

As for the overall question.....So loaded! Pure action? Yeah, probably Fury Road. I was exhausted watching it. Overall action movie? Your list is perfect.

Not popular opinion but Fury road completely falls apart at the end.

It is a great action film but all those chicks would be raped to death and torn apart for killing the God of those people. Also it was ridiculous that the ultra fanatic changed sides mid stream for no real reason.

While the action is happening it is up there for nonstop action. Just didn't have much of an ending.
