Just finished Dark. Recently watched the Last Kingdom all the way through. Is Lost worth watching?

Yes.
Eta- don’t expect it to be Dark tho.

Cool I think I’ll give it a try.

It is a great ride. Just don't watch the Bart/chalkboard gag that aired on the Simpsons just before the finale since it spoils the entire show.

worth watching for sure but not an all time great

In my opinion, no. I wish I had all the hours back that I spent watching it. Let us know how you feel when you finish.

For me it was very entertaining and engaging through the first few seasons but then it started to feel like the writers were making shite up as they went along with no existing end point that would explain all of the weird shite they were throwing at you.
It’s great for shows to leave things up to the viewers to interpret but there was just too much shite they focused hard on that they never had any story arc to eventually explain or pull back into the story.
My wife and I got so frustrated we never watched the ending.

Aka the Damon Lindelhoff effect.

I would say “the first few seasons are definitely worth watching,” but the reality is that you will be hooked at that point and watch the rest anyway.
So.. yeah, just watch it.

Kindve impossible to think of a major network making a drama like that again. Those are almost all on HBO or a streaming service.

It absolutely is, it's probably the most wrapped up and hopelessly "lost" (no pun intended sorry) in a show I've ever been. I'm sure countless others on here can say the same.
There are a few main gripes some will have about the show. For starters it's long as hell. 6 seasons, most seasons with 20+ episodes, each at 45 minutes. It's a haul. however this is a lot more palatable in a binge setting instead of waiting week to week over 6 years. So not a huge deal. The other thing people are going to tell you is "they didn't answer all the questions!!!!!" which is massively overblown. Think about any show you've ever seen, then think of a nitpicky question that's irrelevant. "Hmmm..that shirt color seems a little loud for that character. Is he battling some kind of mental struggle? I sure with the writers would fill us in on this strange choice ,but I guess they aren't!" It'd be like that. Things that yeah, ok sure it might have been cool for 5 seconds to get an explanation to, but overall has NO actual signficance to the show or your enjoyment of it. That is, assuming you realize it's a TV show that is simply meant to entertain and not spell out every syllable of thought in the writers' heads for you.
All that said...it's phenomenal with characters. You are going to be so invested in all these characters lives and backstories. It's a wild ride with thousands of twists and turns, drama and humor, laughs and tears. It really is an oustanding show.

It's pretty good but some seasons are better than others. Don't want to give spoilers but the 2nd season with the button was kind of silly but overall I liked the show.
One thing for sure, a little alone time with Kate wouldn't have been a bad thing at all

LOST is fricking excellent. Excellent. It’s one of the best character-driven shows ever. Lots of people like to gripe about it (as WG said), but most of the gripes are overblown honestly. I will say that it was one of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had with a show, given how much it was discussed online (and on here). So binging it now, 12-18 years later, means you lose some of that. But it really is a pretty easy watch when you’re binging it. And binging also lends itself to not getting bogged down in the details because you aren’t spending days and weeks obsessing over tiny details.
But as for character-driven shows, it’s one of the best.

Yes, one of my top 5 shows ever.

No, it promises a huge payoff and never delivers.

It's incredible. Even if you don't like the way it ends, there are very few shows that when you finish an episode that you feel that you absolutely have to watch the next then the same happens in the next episode and so on and so on. Lost is that show. It's amazing.

Those weekly threads on here were so much fun. Even now some of my favorite threads on here are when someone is watching for the first time and has a running thread talking about it.
Its been a while since i have done a watch, I think its about time

Fantastic show. Binged the first season on dvd with my girlfriend (now wife of 15 years) and we were hooked for the entire ride after that.

It’s not overblown when almost everyone has that complaint. I really liked the show, but this was annoying
