Get Out was whatever for me. It was standard fare and decently put together. Average movie that was watchable. And clearly overhyped for certain reasons.

Us was really good until the last 10-15 minutes and then it was so laughably stupid that it ruined the whole movie for me. But the premise and execution of a replica family stalking and attacking their counterparts was cool and creepy as frick. With a better ending this could’ve been a really good movie.

I’m in the minority but I actually really like Nope. It’s not awesome or anything but I thought it was a cool take on the UFO/alien genre. I’d even rank it as “really good.” I tune into it for at least a little bit any time I see it on tv.

What’s crazy is that you hated Us but that’s the only good movie he’s made.
Us is really, really bad. My hot take might be that Nope is a better movie than Us. And Nope sucked.

The one that gets me is Get Out. That movie is not good at all and it doesn’t even know what it is or what it’s trying to say.
Get Out is pretty simple really. It’s about white people who want to be black people. Presumably white liberals (they voted for Obama after all) who are obsessed with black people. It’s satire. Whether you like it or not is another story, but the plot is very very simple.

I enjoy his movies fine. They're different. For all you people who say you're sick of Hollywood only doing remakes and sequels, it seems some original movies like this would be welcomed. I haven't seen movies like the Skeleton Key so I don't know about him copying anything. I don't get the hate for the movies. They don't seem they can be that bad to people.

Get Out was a good psychological thriller. Becoming a prisoner in your own mind while someone else controls your body.

Nope was a good original, almost western feeling alien movie with a good soundtrack. Had some good funny parts too. Odd, original alien being. And the monkey scene is crazy.

I saw Us a long time ago. I need to see it again. Don't remember it all that great.

So how do you know it’s original if you haven’t seen the movie that some are saying that it copied?

Guess I would've heard about it on here.

Feels like his movies have gotten progressively worse. I’m so glad he didn’t get the rights to Weapons. Supposedly he fired his team because they couldn’t get it. Movie looks really good. Jordan Peele would have fricked it up

His movies are overrated because… well you know why.

All three have positive RT audience scores including an 86% with Get Out, not sure why you'd bring up...

Not surprised you don’t understand what overrated means.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Zach Cregger passed on Peele’s offer. Peele is toxic waste at this point.

“Get Out” was inventive and an enjoyable watch for me. The rich white people were the villains but in a way that was different than anything else I can remember. It was funny if you think about it…

People hear something is overrated and instantly think it’s bad. It’s possible for things to be both overrated and good. That’s where get out sits with me. A solid movie that was well made and enjoyable, but critics blew it up like it was a top ten movie of all time. It’s not.

US was a little bit less enjoyable for me. I think it was directed well, casted well, shot well. The premise was entertaining but I think the whole thing didnt wrap up all that great. An above average movie.

Havent seen Nope yet, I’d be willing to but I have heard it’s the weakest of his movies thus far so I don’t have a huge incentive to.

So is he trolling? No. I think he’s just doing his thing. As long as he doesn’t listen to the folks trying blow smoke up our assess bout him being the next coming of Jesus Christ in filming, and just does his thing we will probably see some decent movies to come.

I also enjoyed it. Nothing mind-blowing, but it was fun seeing it in theatres.

Nope was a sci-fi neo-Western like Outer Range, and both struggled to find an audience.

One of the more historically unsuccessful genres when the primary setting is actually on Earth.

Move that same concept up into outer space though, and you have Firefly and Star Wars.
