Never seen the movie, but I did see the super edit 5 minute video on Twitter. Can't imagine anyone doing this for any amount of money.

I hate this movie. It's handled well, it's smart, and it's utterly destructive.

Yep, its one of those movies that you just fricking hate, but acknowledge it was very well made to get that kind of response from you. I never want to watch it again.

Which absolutely blows my mind!
I literally cannot imagine the level of pathetic it takes for a man to not only knowingly and willingly allow another man to have sex with his wife, but in some instances actually watch it occur

I don't remember Demi Moore's chest wader outfits ever being in style.

They're porn addicts and have rewired their brain, such as it is.

This is a morally repugnant movie, but it at least hints at redemption and doesn’t excuse the behavior. So its not as bad as stuff like The Bridges of Madison County , which is basically one big celebration of infidelity. I absolutely loathe both that movie and the novel it’s based on.

Who is at fault please? The husband or the wife?
Both of them. They were both intrigued by it, her especially. And they both signed off on it.
And I agree with everyone else in here that this is one of those "bad but good" movies. But the whole time you know there's no real happy ending for those two. And for Robert Redford, a million was nothing to him. But he got what he wanted, which was power and control (and sex with a smoking hot 90s Demi Moore).
"I bought you because you said you couldn't be bought." That sums it up basically.

I get it, but I watch Up In The Air pretty much any time it’s on. I really relate to certain parts of Clooney’s character. When he shows up unannounced at Vera Farmiga’s place…the look on her face. If I had a nickel…
Also, I really liked Anna Kendrick’s performance. She pretty much stole every scene from Clooney. That’s not easy. (Her crying episode when her finance broke up with her was bad, but that’s the only fault I have with her performance).
Great movie that really holds up.

Absolutely correct. If either one had been emphatically No about the proposal then the other would have agreed. But because they both were at least a little interested is why it happened.

Always thought it was dumb premise for a movie.
