These women would only go see this movie if accompanied by their fashion accessories as well.

In 2022, when I hear the word "gay", I tune out because I don't want to hear what the fk comes after because in 99% of cases, it's preachy, virtue-signaling, anti-Christian,anti-Conservative, anti-straight bullshite.

Nope. We are all just a bunch of homophobes.

I mean...its a Rom-COm....not my genre. Sure, the previews had a few scenes that looked like it would be funny here and there ....but nothing to make me rush out to see it. If it showed up streaming one night I may watch it or I may not.

Really has nothing to do with it being about gay guys. The list of Rom-Coms I have never seen is long and distinguished.

Everyone who ISN’T a homophobic weirdo should go see ‘Bros’ tonight!

Oh no!!!! I don't want this random person I've never heard of to think I'm a homophobic weirdo, so I guess I'll take money out of my pocket to put into his!!!

Brilliant marketing strategy!

To the LGTBQANUS crowd and their "allies", celebration equals acceptance. Thus, anything less than celebrating them is not accepting them (see also: you can't simply be non-racist now, you have to be stridently anti-racist in order to not be considered a racist). This crowd is very binary (irony) in that if you aren't accepting them then you must be phobic (no middle ground).

Right. Acceptance isn't the goal. They want you, your family, your children, your friends to participate. Not just participate, but to do so enthusiastically.

You think so? You think people are unaware of this movie that advertised heavily during football games, are reading threads making fun of it on here and then are rushing out to watch it? That's what you think?
I know that I haven't seen an ad for it anywhere and I've only heard about it in here. If they're running commercials in football, good for the networks who are selling those commercial spots. Seems like money misspent to push this film in football. I watched part of the LSU game and didn't see any commercials. I wasn't able to catch the Saints game.

I don't know if it's platform related, but on both Hulu Live and Youtube TV, the commercials were rampant across several stations and channels. It was repeated several times during a single broadcast as well. I started paying attention to it because of how much the ad was running.

The only live tv I watch is sports and I’ve seen a ton of commercials for it. Retarded marketing. Sports fans aren’t in the target demographic for Rom-Coms in general but especially for a gay centric one.

I have no interest in polka dancing. Therefore, I would not pay to see a movie about polka dancing.

Likewise, I am not gay and have no interest in the gay lifestyle. Therefore, I am not paying to see a movie about same.

Live and let live but frick you with the hot take Billy.

I'd probably watch a Brassed Off style movie about Polka Dancing.

Sounds like a way to get the core audience to pay to see it twice to send a message to the supposed opposition. Not the best marketing ploy, but I'm sure there are some who'd fall for it.
