I Met The Other Side Of Star Wars Fans Over Thanksgiving

Family members, 20s, from New York, visiting for Thanksgiving.
While watching football on Saturday the new Star Wars trailer was sighted. They got real excited and two of them said they had already bought tickets.
Then one of them asked if the others had ever watched the originals from the 70s and 80s. They all said no except one guy who said he watched IV A New Hope in film studies class. He said it wasn’t very good.
I just sat there.

But you can imagine if they did, right?

Even the SJW fanboys of TLJ are familiar with the originals.
.
Though, in Disney cast members are instructed not to mention any original trilogy characters except Leia. Even Darth Vader they have to play dumb about. (Chewie and the droids are considered current not classic characters)
Kind of makes the land suck.

I'm the opposite of them. I've only seen the original three; none of the new ones.

I just left a hipster coffee shop...

Same here. And that was when they originally came out. I really don't remember much about them other than a couple guys got stuck in a big trash compactor.

Were they either:
1. Lgbtrslmnopqzxyde
2. Used pronouns to describe each other?

This did indeed happen.
Why would I lie?

quote:No idea, but surely you understand why saying only one of a group of multiple star wars "fans" (including two who pre-ordered tickets for the next movie) would've seen the original sounds like bullshite right? shite I'd be shocked if you could find a group of four people over the age of 20 who haven't seen A New Hope
This did indeed happen.

You didn't say how many were in this group so I'm going to guess it was about 4 of them.
You said all of them seemed very excited about the trailer and that two said they already have tickets. They mentioned the originals and only 1 person said they saw 1 of them and that it wasn't good.
So we're expected to believe ~4 people who are excited about the new Star Wars haven't seen the original trilogy when there has only been 10 live action Star Wars movies.

He wanted an excuse to post that Han Solo picture and make it analogous to him.
