Yea, dumb.

TDK has great pieces, but it's also a mess that's too long and compresses storylines and it falls apart in the last 1/3, just like this new one.

the downvotes are laughable.... the stuff people are shitting on The Batman for as similar to things that were done in TDK.

TDK is accepted as not nearly holding up after the initial buzz. It's not bad, but severely flawed and nowhere near great overall.

Lol no. You might think it’s overrated but acting like it’s a popular opinion now is a pretty retarded take

you're entitled to your opinion, and others share it, but to act like it's just a fact is signature SFP douchey lawyer shite, dude.

I watched it yesterday. It was okay, nothing special. It was about one hour too long. Very poor pacing

I agree with a lot of the points here but my main complaint is that it was boring. Everything seem cheaper and less as far as Batman Mythos is concern.

I didnt even see the white privilege but then again the movie was so boring I fast forward so that it would get to the point.

I see a lot of people love it but thats fine but to me it missing the thing that makes batman batman. First all his gaget. HIs batmanobile looks like a regular car strap with a big engine. His bat cycle look like a regular bmx bike...there no intimidation factor unlike the Nolan movies.

His arse was beat and knocked around and had it not been for other intervention he would have died already.

Most egregiously, there is no millionaire playboy persona. The mask for Batman to wear so that the two can never be linked together.

Here he's just a brooding emo dude and the corporate plotline of his assets drying up went no where.

It looked like something Mad Max would drive. It was terrible.

it's a batman movie. was the movie supposed to change the way you thought about the world?

the revenant was about a guy who was left for dead in the wilderness and had to fight bears and shite to survive and did. it's not like the film is Dickie Roberts: Child Star or something.

i think the batman is a solid like 7.5 or 8 or 8 out of 10 but Reeves needs to stop jerking himself off and edit the film. i don't need to see the question mark in riddler's coffee. i don't need to see batman actually bend over and look at Penguin in the crashed car, him walking toward it with the flames in the background was sufficient.

there was also a very obvious stopping point in that yes, they got Falcone but Riddler was right. Gotham WAS built on lies and Riddler did inspire evil in the city, so Bruce should've seen that he needed to inspire good right then. everything after that was pointless. Riddler didn't need to flood the city to win.

also, batman is way too fricking tanky. he gets shot like 1000 times by automatic gunfire and gets slammed into a bridge in the wingsuit and he's totally fine.

he beat the absolute frick out of a guy within 10 seconds of appearing on screen and then took out the rest of his gang like 7 or 8 to 1.

People are more forgiving of mediocre movies like this, because more money and time is invested in seeing a movie at the theater. No one wants to feel like a sucker, so they have to, in some way rationalize it.

Watch a movie at home and you're a little more inclined to see it as it really is.

Had to split this movie into separate nights. At three hours, it’s way too long for how slow paced it is. I like the crime solving aspect of the movie but good lord did it just go on forever. The action sequences in other DC movies were better. Overall, a so-so film.

The movie should have been very good. Instead, I was fast forwarding through the last 15 minutes. Predictable and way too much cheese.

“HEY! What’re you showing me here?” *Penguin throws head back* made me laugh audibly for all the wrong reasons.

After Selina Kyle started yelling at Batman in the secret bathroom alone, after being concerned about the “contact lenses but not any surveillance in the elevator”, i just couldn’t get back into it.

Very good or better movies don't screw up such obvious details. Overrated and shitty directors and writers.

I thought RPat’s Batman was a fun take. Just numb to it all. Not fully composed. Doesn’t have his shite together as Bruce Wayne. Humanized the character quite a bit. Riddler drowning the city was a cool twist at the end. Didn’t save the movie though.

Yep. Watched it last night. I thought it was horrible, but didn't say anything. When it was over, my wife remarked that it was really bad.

TDK came out like the greatest movie ever and has settled into just being a better than average batman movie. Thats the truth.

Maybe within the bubble of this message board, but not the entertainment world at large. The Dark Knight is currently ranked #3 on IMDB's page of the Top 250 movies of all-time. That's the largest movie website in the world and has millions of visitors every week. Clearly people still love that movie as it was #4 on that list for the longest time before moving up into the Top 3 within the last few months.

Anyway, to all of you who bitched about it being woke. It's woke. It wasn't as woke as it could've been but when pretty much all the good guys are black and the white guys are bad or crazy.

The main good guy, the guy the movie is about, is white. Y’all try to be offended by shite. Horseshoe theory

Literally a throw away line that makes sense for a character like Selina to say. Cry more, snowflake

I can’t speak for everyone, but I used to do this with video games all the time. It’s why I will never preorder or buy video games without hearing others opinions about it first. I used to suck serious COPIUM trying to defend games I spent over 60 dollars on

I see it happen with movies too. I see opinions affected by a lot of things like group think (going with a group of buddies in a fun setting), inebriation level ( ) , rotten tomato scores, anticipation, preconceived expectations, etc.

You rarely see anyone come back and admit their judgment may have been flawed or their perception incorrect. Not at all saying that’s the case for everyone, but it happens.
