The movie was paced poorly, low on action, low on script development, the cinematography was bad, the movie was lit very poorly. Constant rain is a lazy substitute for good scene production. The movie was just dull.

so a typical DC film.
This is what i feared, and why i didn't waste my money to go see it in theatres and instead i'm downloading the torrent to watch it for free instead.

Yeah it's ok if it's free or on a service you're already paying for.

It's the sorta movie you just kinda have on the background. If you give it your full attention like I did, you'll probably just end up annoyed.

Also making his dad a baddy-lite hurts the natural development of Bruce and batman
I said this in another thread, but this is such an important point. Bruce was very disturbed in this film and had no parental figures growing up. No mentors. He didn’t even have a great relationship with Alfred. He felt truly alone. Not sure if it was intentional on Reeves’ part, but the character Bruce was in this movie absolutely fit with his lack of guidance and mentorship growing up. It doesn’t mean Alfred is a bad guy. It just means Bruce did not have a good relationship with him. Didn’t trust him fully like a father.

TDK has great pieces, but it's also a mess that's too long and compresses storylines and it falls apart in the last 1/3, just like this new one.

Then you should probably stay away from The Forever Purge.

The antagonists are racist skinheads who shout "America will be America once more" as they hunt (the good guys) who are noble migrants helping other Americans flee to the safe haven of Mexico. I mean the only thing frightening about the movie is the writers believe this extreme liberal fantasy.

At least they put the pen to such a shitty franchise where you can only watch about 20 minutes of it.

Also the tease at the end of the new Joker kinda made me laugh. Maybe it’s because of how great Heath Ledger’s was, but now I feel like everyone just tries to copy that to the t.

Have you seen the deleted scene? It's far better than that weak scene they inserted into this.

The movie is Se7en, not Sev7n, so I'm gonna assume you don't know shite.

It reminded me a lot more of the Gotham version of Joker

See I'm able to see flaw in a really good film. The white privilege sucked, the last act wasn't needed or could have been don differently, and shouldn't have teased joker. That was a cop out. But the rest flowed great.

The only thing you can assume homeboy is that neither me or David Fincher knows how to spell the word seven.

Dano was the worst part of the movie. I didn't buy him as a capable villain at all.

I recommend Batman Begins.

Forgot how fantastic that movie is is.

Plus, Katie Holmes was chilly in a lot of her scenes.

TDK is accepted as not nearly holding up after the initial buzz. It's not bad, but severely flawed and nowhere near great overall.

idk why you are getting such hate, besides the fact your opinions do suck some time. but this one is true. TDK came out like the greatest movie ever and has settled into just being a better than average batman movie. Thats the truth.
