Anyone else get a little creeped out by Aemond in the pleasure house? Alicent and Viserys sure did a bang-up job raising those kids.

1. It would have been a bad idea for her to speak up when she first saw him. Arryk would have pretended to be his twin anyway, and there’s no guarantee the guards right there would believe her. 2. While I doubt it was anywhere near half an hour for Arryk to find Rhaenyra, it would have taken some time for the girl to find Erryk and tell him his brother has infiltrated the keep. I don’t see why that would have taken any less time than it took Arryk to find Rhaenyra. 3. The point of the scene is that she notices the twin, which leads to Erryk stepping in before his brother can murder Rhaenyra. This can pretty easily be inferred without the need for them to spell out every move. I, for one, would prefer it that way.

Yes, you are The first scene after I was thinking about how bad the acting was. The scene with Otto was much much better imo. His emotions felt very forced initially.

It’s not entirely clear to me whether OP meant spoilers in the sense of “things that happened in the episode” or spoilers in the sense of “things that haven’t happened yet.”

I haven’t read the books and would prefer not to read major spoilers for the rest of the series/season here. But I suppose it is what it is.. it’s the only thread about the episode but it does technically say spoilers so

Anyhow, just saying I appreciate y’all trying to be cautious about it.

Did we watch different shows/read different books. Tywin won the War of the Five Kings by 2 big blunders: Edmure Tully being a glory hound and Robb Stark disregarding his Frey betrothal. Outside of those 2 things, 15 year old Robb Stark was kicking Joffrey's arse left and right.

Let’s not forget the biggest blunder of all. Stannis and Renly fighting among themselves and failing to make common cause with Rob Stark. With all that being said, you have to give credit where it’s due. Taking advantage of your enemies’ blunders is a major part of winning. Tywin was giving the combined forces of the north and the riverlands all they could handle, he capitalized on the Tyrell alliance in time to smash Stannis at the Blackwater, and he orchestrated the Red Wedding. It’s a bit of a stretch to suggest that victory just fell into Tywin’s lap. Also, we all loved Robb Stark, but let’s be honest. Brynden Tully was more than half the brains of that operation.

P.S. One of the many disappointments about Martin never finishing the series is that we will never know what became of the Blackfish. His role was minimized in the show, but he’s still on the loose in books.
