It was too melancholy for me to rewatch like the other two. It was a good ending given what Gunn had to work with after the time travel plot.

This movie was really good. Its the only thing post Endgame that resembled or felt like an old Marvel movie. We all knew Rocket had a tough "childhood' but that was tough to watch. It felt like we got some closure on the team

This was the best of the 3. Although I thought one of them was supposed to die in this one.

Agree it’s much more melancholy than the other two. But felt it needed to be with that Rocket origin story and characterizing the High Evolutionary. High Evolutionary was great BTW and hope he ends up in another movie. Supposedly he survives

The High Evolutionary's power was his device that could alter gravity. Not even that could fix his ruined face from when young Rocket maimed him.

Disliking a movie is not hating everything bud. Pay attention.

Weird bump.

Re-watched this over a few nights. It might be my favorite of the 3. Didn’t feel that way when I watched it 7 months ago.

The ending is simply the most cathartic ending in a movie I think i can remember. It gutted me again.

I’ve always liked Florence and the machines but that song just brings me to tears what it is in relation to the movie.

I watched it over two nights a little while back. The first part of the movie I was thinking it was kind of trash. The way it looked and the dialogue, it was just off. Then I finished it the next night and completely flipped. Great ending.

He created an entire alternate earth and populated with intelligent animal-people. I think he had other powers besides the gravity device.

His power was intelligence.

He was able to invent things and create stuff. Basically a watered down Kang

I thought using animal cruelty to explain why eugenics is bad was a fine medium, but I didn’t need to be over the head with it. It was a little to much with the lab animals.

This was the only part that I had a hard time watching.

When it comes to animals being harmed I can only take so much. I've become a big softy in my old age. I had my golden retriever pass away in my arms and since then death hits hard.

For this reason I don't think I'll re-watch GotG3. Just too disturbing.

"so much" is far more than I can take. You simply do not harm animals which have done absolutely nothing to harm you.

Hell, if it came down to saving one of my two dogs vs saving someone I have no connection with whatsoever, I'll save my dogs 100 times out of 100. Heck, I'd probably save out cat as well. Although the cat would be far less appreciative.

Incredible. It has funny scenes as usual but also gets very dark and sad at parts.

Yeah I watched this last night and specifically included "Sad" for threads.

This movie has some incredibly depressing (not just sad) parts.

It was very well done, but yeah.

Other than the sadness/depression, the movie also seemed to have more explicit gore and an F-bomb. Seems Gunn's time in R-rated DC land had effects.
