frick you. I don't read spoilers and I certainly don't post them. If I wanted to read spoilers I'd have actively posted in that thread all "off-season". Just because I'm not a fricking idiot and can form a rationale guess on what could happen (seeing as I've read all the books, novellas, etc. AND watched the show) certainly doesn't mean you can come in here swinging you little dick accusing me of posting spoilers. Now go eat one.
Preach it! I'm in the same boat. It's like these idiots can't put 2 and 2 together and guess an outcome. Gimme a break. I guess if I say Jon Snow is still alive in the next episode, that's a spoiler too...

So this is pathetic but I had to rewatch the tower flashback scene and completely missed the message there. I thought that was was Stark knocking up a Targ, not the other way around.
Yikes.

yeah I've hated a bunch of characters, but he's up there maybe #2 for me. I fricking hate the guy and his boring arse scenes he brings to the show

quote:Those were wights. Fire kills wights. They've said to burn the dead ever since season 1.
quote:
Fire doesn't affect them does it?
When Benjen Stark saved Bran and Meera he killed them with fire from his flaming ball on a chain weapon.
Ol' boy (Whitewalker) Jon took down in Hardhomme, he seemed to walk right through the flames in the burning building. I don't think fire, even dragonfire, bothers them.
You need dragonglass or Valaryan steel for that.
Makes the obvious tactics (right now at least): Dany (and now Jon too) leading airstrikes, like napalm, to clear a path in the dead. Dothraki ride through, firing dragonglass arrows at the WW. Or basically, the exact same tactic she used vs the Lannisters.
Question about dragons next week:
Drogon got a big sniff of Jon and knows his scent; and he also knows he's a Targ. And Dany is clearly attached to him, and also to Jorah too. So there's at least two possible reasons that dragons come to their rescue:
a repeat of Drogon rescuing Dany from the arena in Meereen, he did that only because she was in danger. He might do that for Jon too.
or, Dany stews on it awhile, and comes North to assist Jon and Jorah. She's said she likes to be in the action, and Drogon can 'bloodhound' them.
One of the dragons falling- we've seen giants with crossbows, and for that matter they might be able to cast nets (they look like they're in a valley, the NK might be on the slopes looking down at things).
Any dragon falling would shake the shite out of Dany, but especially Drogon...
Losing him might make her lose all that ambition and intensity, and Jon would have to take control- thus flipping the power structure between the two.
I almost speculated that she herself falls (which would open Jon's path), but the Dothraki would likely go beserk without her. Don't see that happening for a long time.
Also, I got a creepy feeling when Jaime was telling Cersei that armies are useless against the Dothraki. Got the sense that she was seeing him as becoming weak and useless to her now. He might hesitate to act against her, but she won't. Really getting a bad vibe about who kills whom in that pair.

The dragon warming up to Jon was considered a spoiler? I watched that promo and I immediately thought something like that would happen since it could sense he was a Targ. I didn't even comment on it because it seemed so obvious to even point out.
I know right?

I don't think Jorah makes it. Seemed like his goodbye to Dany was somewhat drawn out for significance. Really hope I'm wrong because I love Captain Friendzone.
I think Gendry makes it out with Jon. Maybe The Hound, though I don't think a showdown with The Mountain means much considering he's not really The Mountain anymore, so not sure how strong his plot armor is.
Tormund, Thoros, and Beric have a golden opportunity to go out gloriously battling the wights.

I'm partial to LF at times because he was on The Wire.
In all seriousness, I just feel like his scheming has become rather useless when we consider where things are going. It makes sense for him to not make it out of Winterfell if he's trying to turn everyone on another just so he can get Sansa. She's never going to marry him or acknowledge him like that. And he'll never be able to accept that.

You seem defensive. I'm new here but even I can see that.

I agree with this, but for some reason I still feel like The Hound's story isn't over yet. Not sure what it is, but I think he's still got a role to play.

shite it could be as simple as:
Beric: So, Lord Snow, what do you call that fine sword of yours?
Jon: Longclaw
Jorah: ...son of a bitch.
Hound: you're all cúnts

i/m jus not sure where they are going with him. There's so much more shite to wrap up, he needs to get his shite kicked in fast

I hope Jorah at least asks Jon about Longclaw.

I think they'll have a good conversation about it on the path to the walkers
Maybe Hound can bring up his time with Arya

I have no idea. Maybe one gets injured, dies, and is reanimated. I don't have any reason to believe it can't happen given what they've reanimated to this point in their army.
Before the season came out, the GoT twitter retweeted some fan made posters with a dead dragon and I feel like thats a serious red herring. Ive said this before, I wouldn't be surprised by a zombie dragon, basically evens the playing field between the two groups.
Edit:
This is the exact poster they put on the official twitter account

A wight dragon would be pretty weak, because the whole point of the battle that makes it so interesting is the difference between the two sides. It's literally ice and fire.

Jeeze I just rewatched it and it really was a great episode. Dickoff is a retard. Dany gets moist. Drogon is a straight up G. My man gendry is a beast with that hammer. Arya is a thug.
And some of yall are wayyyy too pissy. (Looking at you OML)
