And the back and forth between him and Jon was a clear call back to Ned and Roberts conversations during Ned's time as his hand. Can't wait for Alt shift Xs video to connect all the call backs in this episode.

i will die happy if next week this show makes some meta commentary on how awful suicide squad was and how simple it would be to make a premise like that work

Strictly on principle... I wanna say that anyone who hasn't read the spoilers for this season should steer clear of these threads. A large percentage of these "theories" are word for word spoilers. Down to small details. I hate to point it out, because I don't know how much better it makes me. But it's pathetic people wanna "call it", and ruin it for those who didn't choose to read the spoilers.

Actually, it does. Littlefinger laid it all out on the line to Sansa, and she isn't going for it.

So she's no longer his accomplice, and she has the dirt on him (killing Lysa, and planning to be on the Iron Throne). If she's not an ally (or useful tool), she's a threat that needs to be removed.
What better way to do so, than to have her own assassin sister kill her? Creates chaos in the North, knocks the Starks down a few notches, and the Vale becomes that much more prominent (and just as importantly, free of any allegiances again).

Hmmm, we haven't seen a direwolf in awhile. Maybe Littlefinger tries to kill Bran, who wargs into the wolf and rips his throat out... and then Bran stops Arya before she kills Sansa?

Just guessing here again, but you have to figure Littlefinger is more than a step ahead of this. You have to get him in a way he doesn't anticipate. And he'd anticipate any HUMAN attack, he's even ahead of Arya on that.

Well he did see them not get roasted and tumble into the river. I doubt he would assume they just drowned and died.
