incorrect. bodkin arrows were widely used and were not a "special" arrowhead type. it was standard issue along with broadheads which were used on more lightly armored units. Also, bodkin arrows really werent all that effective against plate armor unless damn near point blank, and even then it had to be placed at the weakest point, usually around the joints. You can look at the battle of Poitier where the english longbowmen were largely ineffective against the french (really german) knights.
although your overall premise that the armored knights would usually prevail is correct. that is, unless the mounted archers used a feigned retreat which was common among the steppes people, whom the dothraki are modeled after. In which the archers would simply lure them into a trap where their exhausted horses would be their undoing.

call them out (after it airs)
I've avoided those here and I don't go to reddit
if somebody guesses right though that's just the way it is there's only so many places this story can go.
the basic narrative endgame is relatively obvious so the twists will come in who people are relative to the various prophesies, not what they do.

No shite, the actor is 30 years old, now.
Of course, Kit, Alfie and Emilia are all in their 30s, now.
Where does the time go?

Damn, then Bernard Cornwell done steered me wrong. Dude gushed on about how great bodkins were.

While most here don't seem to like your fan faction (based on downvotes), you at least do more GoT/ASOIAF writing in a day than GRRM does in months.

A general piece of advice: NEVER choose Hitler.

Unless the magic in the walls which cause it to fall was put in the wall by the people who built the wall and who now approach it from the North.

I don't care about what that lazy prick thinks now, and I certainly won't care when he's dead.

In this instance I think it's appropriate.

If Ned's crew had chainmail head / neck armor they could have survived Dayne at the TOK.

Umm, Dayne had Dawn, so I'm not sure why you can say that. It's every bit as sharp and dangerous as Valyrian Steel, if not more so.

Did he have Dawn in the show?

Yep. Just looked it up on the Wiki.

The promotional pics HBO releases every week are generally kind of underwhelming. And this one in the batch they released today doesn't really give any plot info.
But I absolutely love seeing the wolf pieces on the war table in this shot of Jon and Davos. Not sure if they showed those before and I just missed them but for some reason I'm inordinately excited about seeing them on there.

That was always the most interesting theory that never gets any traction.
The wall wasn't built by men to keep the WW's out, it was built by the WW's to keep men out.

I wonder what kind of piece they would use if they wanted to represent the Night's Watch on one of those war tables?
Maybe a black shield and sword after their words: "I am the sword in the darkness" ... "I am the shield that guards the realms of men." Or maybe a crow.

And speaking of the Wildlings and the Wall keeping men out, didn't Stannis bring a large force North of the Wall to rout Mance?
On the other hand, the Wall has managed to keep the WW and the wights at bay, and Benjen can't cross it because of the spells.
