I have a strange feeling that Stark blood may provide some sort of immunity.
I've shared this theory for a while now.
Sorta of how(in the show) Dany has immunity to fire.
The Starks may have "immunity" to cold as in the cold powers of the NK to create/control wights doesnt work on Starks. It may have a part to play in how Benjen was a wight but kept his own control (but I think that may be more due to the children of the forest, right?)

Yes. The Dothraki are a hybrid of Central Asian horsemen and Native American tribesmen - skilled horse archers. We saw a bit of that last episode.
Makes the Night King's advance a lot more dangerous. If you create something that would shield your WW generals from the arrows, that's an obvious target for the dragons to hit. The Dothraki would surely be instructed to lob volleys at anywhere the dragons focus on, so the dragons would be busy both wiping rows of wights away, and acting as spotters for the real targets. And even with an initial huge advantage in numbers, facing a mounted calvary capable of cutting them down, combined with multiple dragons incinerating the fields, this could quickly turn into a defensive battle for the NK.
Can they run a battle far enough removed that the WWs aren't in danger? And if so, who protects them from commando units... say, Jon and Bronn with Valayrien swords leading units of Unsullied with dragonglass spears? Big anti-dragon ballista tipped with dragonglass bolts fired from distances?
You DON'T want to face a calvary like the Dothraki, with air cover no less, on a big open plain, even if you're leading packs of undead. Things could go south in a hurry.

I'm not sure how to reconcile the show Benjen with novel Coldhands. There is no question the character is meant to be Stark blood, whether it really turns out to be Benjen or not (and I'm pretty sure it is, Martin's protestations notwithstanding).
So, I agree this is additional evidence that Stark family members are "special" in this regard. They are resistant, at least. Benjen reanimated, but kept his own will. That would thwart the NK's objectives because he would have to kill them twice, right?

Jon's dressed for cold
he's got the big robe on. He didn't wear that last episode.
He wore it two episodes ago when he and Tyrion were sulking on the Dragonstone bluffs.
He's fully dressed when he arrives, and when he's decided that he's going to stay he wears less. I doubt he's thinking "y'know, it's pretty warm here, I think I'm just going to wear my bigass cloak again, for effect". I think he's getting ready to leave for somewhere cold.

Are the Dothraki going to be able to fight in the snow? I feel like the amount of snow on the plains brought on by the others is going to mess them up bc they are going to have to where a lot of clothes and it will impede the horses.

So will they stop by Casterly Rock and pick up the unsullied, or at least resupply them?

Interested to see what role Uncle Benjin plays in all this

Martin's protestations
he's going to make the rest of the books (if he writes them) so radically different just to be different from where the show passed him, and to thwart fan theories that deduced where he was going with some things.

I doubt it. Most authors of these large series have the main points and crucial scenes of the final book in their heads from the beginning. If he finishes the series, i bet it is true to his vision (someone would have to be crazy / idiotic to change his life's work out of spite).

Did you guys start reading ASOIAF last year?!
You are talking about a guy who in the last 12 years has published 1 book and has 2 to go.
Robert Jordan died in 2007 and has had 3 books published to finish his series compared to GRRM releasing ADWD (not to mention in 2005 GRRM had said ADWD was nearly complete and it didn't publish until 2011).
Let's just hope Brandon Sanderson lives long enough to clean up whatever mess GRRM leaves us with.

He dropped Meera and Bran off at the wall at the end of last season. We haven't seen him this season. He's doing what he can, for as long as he can.....

He dropped Bran and Meera at a Weirwood tree near the wall. He told them he couldn't travel south, but would fight as long as he could.
A true ranger.

Since. on the show, Leaf and tCotF made him out of a captured First Man, it's still a possibility.
I think the show Night's King (Great or Uber Other)took the name from the book Night's King (ex-LC of the Night's Watch with the corpse bride)and are two different characters...but this one could still be a Stark.

Even if she split off 1/10th of her Dothraki, that's a big ol' group that nobody (thieves, highwaymen) would mess with. They could escort in a bunch of wagons.
